I met Pickles, a four week old kitten, at a volunteer appreciation luncheon at my local shelter. Her foster brought her in for a few minutes for some exposure and socialization. I even got to hold her in her blanket bundle! She was so small, it was unbelievable.

The foster told me "she likes you" which was a very dangerous thing for me to hear! Haha! She was found alone with no mom or siblings around. She's currently being fed every two hours. I hope I see her again!

Hello everyone. I have a 5 month old Bengal Maine coon mix. More on the Bengal side. She just turned 5 months. I am trying to find the right balance of wet and dry food for a good budget ratio. I tried a few different wet foods and she seems to be ok with Purina pro plan kitten wet food. I also have her on the kitten Purina One kibble. She is on the skinny side but not unhealthy.

I leave the kibble out all day and I feed her one can a day (try). I've tried feeding different times throughout the day. My dilemma here is she does not always finish all the wet food and I end up having to throw it out. She eats all her dry food though and she finishes by grazing through out the day. I leave out about 1/3 cup of dry food which she finishes around 8pm

So naturally I tried different feeding times leaving only kibble from 9-7, adding less so she gets hungry etc but she still only eats a bit of the wet food. I also tried mutiple different wet food specifically for kittens. She hates Fancy feast kitten wet food won't even lick it, I tried blue buffalo, Tiki cat, viva la kitty and all the same she only eats a bit, maybe half a can in the day sometimes 3/4, sometimes a full can but it's not consistent then won't eat the refrigerated food the next day unless it's fresh.

This method gets costly if she is only eating half. So my question is do you have any kitten food recommendations or strategies that worked for your picky eater?

I’m a new cat owner and have 6 month old bonded pair. Do you use collars on your indoor cats? And if so which ones? Despite their insistence I don’t plan on letting them outside (one day we’ll get a catico) but I’m just so worried they’ll slip out by accident one day and I live in the woods. I’m hyper vigilant about the doors, but we do have a dog I have to let out 4/5 times per day and I’m just a worrier by nature.

What do you do or what do you recommend?

The cat distribution system gave us a kitten at 3 weeks old, now 5 weeks. She's healthy and doing well despite being underweight since we found her.

Today she escaped her plastic pen while I was at work and I found her roaming the room. The pen is one of those plastic cube shelves reconfigured into a pen. Not ideal but worked for when she was little. Not a huge problem that she escaped but unexpected and not sure if she should have free reign of the room right now.

We do also have one of those mesh hexagon ones with a lid, but she climbs the walls constantly and we're worried she'll hurt herself falling or getting stuck. We use that one when she's out in the main room with us as we do have another cat and they can't be together yet.

Any ideas on better containment? Should we just kitten proof the room and let her be loose during the day? We could also get a taller plastic one or adjust it. Should we try to stop the climbing of the mesh holder, or just let her figure out on her own that she might fall?

I just adopted these babies. They are only 2 mos. They are underweight. They are eating kibble but not the e high cal wet food the vet recommended. We are going to try some high cal gel the vet recommended. Do you all have any treat recommendations?

Hi! I found a stray kitten today. Based on his teeth, how old do you guys think he is? I have a vet appt scheduled for the end of this week. In the meantime, I purchased kitten formula for 0-6 weeks and 4-8 weeks but unsure of which one he needs right now.

Ok so about a week and a half ago I adopted two 4 week old sister kittens and I’m going through it. This is my first time ever having to take care of cats so I always find myself extremely anxious and on edge. My biggest fear is that they will grow up to be aggressive cats but I know that I’m just overthinking this a lot so u could say I’m here for some advice and emotional support 😭

So for the most part they’re good right except sometimes during feeding time they will start fighting each other not like full blown but will growl try to scratch each other and I get really worried about this. I try to separate them and the food for a second before they can go back it agin which ig does calm them down but just thinking about it makes me idk sad??

Secondly one of them keeps trying to bite me , so not all the time but she keeps coming towards my fingers and licks me first then bites. Now they’re not very hard bites but I’m so scared she’s never going to grow out of it. Whenever she does that I pick her up and get her off my lap she comes over again and this happens continuously then I am forced to end the interaction and put them in their kitten room that I have at my house cuz she won’t stop. And before anyone says anything about how to discourage this behaviour I have tried everything I can from making a high pitch noise when she does that redirecting her to toys but she just doesn’t listen and It is giving me anxiety cuz I feel like I’m a bad cat mom. I also feel like the biting has increased. Also I have never used my hands to play with them.

I would like to hear from people who adopted 2 kittens who also shared maybe a similar experience and whether it’s going to be ok and they’ll grow out of it and just idk give me some hope cuz rn I feel so overstimulated by them and my thoughts about constantly thinking bout them.

He is growing like crazy and is a ridiculously adorable love of a kitten!

This is Pumpkin, a 10 or so week old kitty I have been fostering for 2 days now. I failed, she is my first foster fail. I am currently trying to litter train her, but have no experience doing so. I have 3 other cats who I am in the process of acclimating to her scent. The dog is already in love with her and he lets her climb all over him and she bites and plays with his tail, I think he just loves the attention lol.

Can you help me litter train her?

Someone gave me this kitten today. They didn’t know how old. How old do you think he is? Taking him to vet tomorrow when they open.

My little runt Luna (9 weeks old tomorrow) has not stopped climbing on me since we got her last week, and my legs are covered in cat scratches from her little claws. I cant find a cat nail clipper in my area and I don't want to spend an extra €5 on shipping fees so im wondering if there are any ways to discourage her from climbing up my legs. Her brother Leo, doesn't do this at all and it seems to only be her, when im standing up, no matter what pair of trousers I seem to have on. I need help, my legs burn so bad 😭 My last cats only done this once, and they were smaller than her, but they never drew bl00d. Any advice?

I know that bitter spray won't work because its her claws, but I thought that her climbing up the couch would burn her energy more than climbing up my clothes just to bite my hand and climb back down, and saying ouch doesn't help, she enjoys my pain.

This is our newest addition, Lilith, she is a bundle of joy and huge burst of energy. My wife decided to surprise me with a gift she knew I wouldn’t refuse. She came shortly before the passing of my first cat, Lilac. Which in hindsight was a blessing in disguise because she truly reminds me of her in more and more ways every day!

Bella is 9 weeks old in these pictures she will be 11 weeks old this coming week she was born and raised in a muffler shop since birth i got her last week after she was weaned.She goes everywhere with me she loves riding on my shoulder or on my leg or arm in the truck.We have a farm and Bella loves riding on the tractor while we are working if we are in the cab tractor she loves looking out the lower rear window and falling asleep there and she loves riding around the farm in the SxS and even on the lawnmower she’s one fearless kitten noises do not scare her she plays in the creek jumps in the shower with me and if i leave her at home she cries herself to sleep just found that part out this past Sunday afternoon.

Anyone else spend a lot of time staring into their kitten's eyes wondering what color they will be in the end?

My little sweetie is making my guessing more difficult. They have such a warm amber in the middle but seem to have green forming on the outer edge. I wonder if they could end up a bit of both or will be overtaken by the amber.

My kitten got spayed and was a little hellion before, but after she has been a perfect, clingy angel all week. Took the onesie off today and she is back to being a zomming crazy little kitten.

Has anyone else had this happen? I miss how calm she was in the onesie.

My kittens play like this but recently one of them keeps meowing, and I heard when they meow it's because it hurts but I'm not sure?

I can record more videos but it just worries me, I usually let them play like this but the minute I hear a meow I pull them apart. But is this normal?

Update on this post she's all healthy and stuff is playful asf but she hates KMR for some reason and only eats wet food and well as the title says she's learnt to use the litter on her own but she steps on her own poop accidentally and then we have to wash her back paws everytime this is happening like 3 times a day for the past few days her stool is a bit soft

Also is there any way to make her like KMR, I keep using a syringe to feed it to her she resists alot
