Hello everyone. I saw a METEORA Album Cover From LINKIN PARK on Lego Ideas. That's what exactly Lego ideas shows when you search it, going into some details. The original album cover has a black bottom part. But in this creation we have a live performance too. METEORA is now on official Lego Ideas website

I have a good amount of tattoos already and was planning on saving my legs for some other ideas I had in mind, but one of my buddies recently got a Pierce the Veil tattoo and I know for a fact that his love for PTV doesn't outweigh my love for LP😤So I said why not. And got the foot soldier

Discussion Opinions on RECHARGED?

so ive been on a steady streak of giving the remix albums (which i didnt like for no apparent reason) a chance, first it was Reanimation, then Collision Course, so i had high hopes going into RECHARGED.

it... exists, i guess. it's not bad, but its not amazing either. it absolutely pales in comparison to Rean or CC. a lot of the music sounds like itd be some random copyright free music that some fan edited LP vocals over.

However it does have 2 standouts to me:
ALTNC is a great LP song
the Skin to Bone remix is a great Fort Minor song

idk i wanna hear yalls opinions, just wanted to talk about this a little bit.

Tierlist / Ranking Post A Thousand Suns Songs Ranked

Post image
7 Upvotes

Alright, so if you guys have remembered, the last post was about Minutes To Midnight, and so today it is gonna be A Thousand Suns. Just know that this is indeed my own opinion. With that being said, let’s jump right in!

All of the interludes in this album aren’t gonna be rated so I’m not going over them.

The Messenger (6.5/10): I know a lot of people like this song, but I honestly don’t. The guitar in the background is too simple, Chester’s vocals are too raw and vulnerable which frankly speaking throws me off, and is honestly not the climactic end that I was expecting and ended up disappointing me. Honestly, they should’ve just left the last track as The Catalyst as it had the proper climactic end you would look for.

When They Come For Me (7.2/10): This is actually not a very bad track. It’s cool and sounds like a theme you would play in a jungle. Mike’s rapping isn’t very bad here and actually fits the track well and Chester’s short bridge is surprisingly good. But it falls short compared to the other tracks I’ll be talking about. Still a decent and not half bad track.

Wretches And Kings (9/10): I know this might seem low, but this is honestly a really solid and great track. I love the hip hop style here, Mike’s rapping is bomb here, and Chester knocks the chorus out of the park, though the only problem in this track is the spoken word in the beginning and end. Honestly, if they had just removed the two words, add a bridge and make the actual song longer, this would be even higher. Still a great track whatsoever.

Blackout (9.5/10): This is a really cool song in my opinion. I love the beat here, and Chester’s vulnerable and aggressive vocals. But what makes this special is the bridge where the beat changes and it just goes Bla-Blacko-Bl-Bla (You get the point). It’s just really cool. The outro of this song is great too with Mike and Chester.

Burning In The Skies (10/10): This is a lovely opener. From the piano, to the guitar and the great verses and chorus, this song really knows how to blend multiple things and make it sound great. And that guitar riff in the middle is just beautiful. Really great work from them.

Iridescent / Robot Boy (10/10): It is super tough to pick between both of these songs as on some days I pick RB as #3 and on the other hand Iridescent. Iridescent: This is easily one of their most beautiful and powerful ballads, starts off slow with Mike, slowly builds up throughout the song. This is a very memorable and somewhat special track to me, and is really uplifting to me. Robot Boy: Now this is a very interesting track. It’s as if Pink Floyd made a Transformers track as it really has kinda psychedelic feel to it. I LOVE the piano in here and to me it sounds like the main standout from the melody. Chester is interesting here, as he kinda has a strange filter but it fits really well in this track. Both tracks are amazing at the end of the day.

The Catalyst (10/10): What a track this is and what a closer this would’ve been. This actually used to be my #1 from this album before but I kinda overplayed it, but regardless I still love it. I remember I completely lost my mind when I first heard this track from how insane it was. The beat in here is just super infectious, Mike’s and Chester’s vocals are perfect here, but the end is what I really love here, it’s slow then progresses into probably one of their best outros of all time.

And for the #1 it is….

Waiting For The End (1000/10): I actually thought this was just another decent song from them that I thought got too much love but when I relistened to it, it just blew my mind. And I know it’s a bit cliché picking this as the #1 but this song just deserves it. It’s so beautiful, so well laid out with great performances from both Chester and Mike, the drumming is great and that piano takes it another step. But after the bridge from Mike, this song just becomes straight up euphoric.

Tierlist / Ranking Post Joining the trend. My top 10 LP songs, ranked from the top to the bottom

Post image

Pun ABSOLUTELY intentional.

I got into LP around the time In The End released as a single, and have been lucky to meet the band several times over the years. I’ve been incredibly lucky to have a some history involving the band.

I toured Europe in 2010 to watch the Dead By Sunrise tour, where I hung out with Chester in Zurich and Hamburg, which eventually led to me working as a roadie for Julien-K (for those who don’t know, Julien-K are the rest of Dead By Sunrise without Chester).

Another highlight, Mike Shinoda borrowed my phone onstage in London 2018. The fan next to me had a sign requesting Step Up, but he couldn’t remember the lyrics. I quickly googled the lyrics and handed Mike my iPhone. After that, he kept Step Up as a part of every show after.

I know this all sounds like bullshit, but I have receipts for everything!

Tierlist / Ranking Post Here's my Meteora ranking since it's my favourite Linkin Park album :)

13 - Foreword

Obviously the bottom choice as it's a less than a minute intro track to go into Don't Stay but it does its job.

12 - Hit the Floor

Chester sounds great on the chorus but the verses from Mike kinda feel lacklustre and unfinished.

11 - Session

A really good instrumental traxk with one of the best uses of Joe's turntable scratching but can't go much higher being an instrumental.

10 - Nobody's Listening

Love Mike's rapping and the really unique flute in the instrumental and while Chester sounds great in the chorus, it's probably the weakest part of the song

9 - Don't Stay

An explosive and powerful opener to the album with an amazing bridhe showing off Chester's screaming. Perfectly executed

8 - Breaking the Habit

Usually much higher on other people's ranking and don't get me wrong Chester's melodic singing is absolutely stunning and showed what was yet to come for the band perfectly but I do prefer Meteora's more heavy and active songs personally.

7 - Lying from You

Instantly explodes into a powerful instrumental with Chester and Mike playing off each other perfectly throughout the song. The bridge is especially immaculate with powerful vocals from Chester.

6 - Somewhere I Belong

One of the band's biggest songs for a reason with a really interesting intro with the reversed instrumental. Powerful chorus and everything an early Linkin Park song should be

5 - Easier to Run

One of the most underappreciated songs usually ranked much lower and I couldn't disagree more. Beautiful vocals with a lovely change of pace between Hit the Floor and Faint and a perfect and seamless transition into said track.

4 - From the Inside

What a powerful track. Heavy drums from the start, amazing vocals from Chester in the chorus and one of my favourite bridges on the album with that immaculate breakdown.

3 - Numb

The song to both get me into the album and the band itself. Iconic instrumental and generation chorus and deserves every bit of praise. Also wanna mention how much i enjoy the music video every time I watch it

2 - Figure.09

How was this song not a top hot from the album? Literally everything you want from an early Linkin Park song. Powerful instrumental? Check. Beautiful vocals between both Mike and Chester? Check. Extremely powerful chorus and breakdown? Check! This would easily be my favourite if not for this next song

1 - Faint

Where do i begin with Faint? My favourite from Meteora and my overall favourite Linkin Park song. From the beautiful violin in the intro to then explode into one of their best guitar riffs of all time. Fast paced and upbeat chorus with Chester going ballistic in the bridge. Numb was the song to get me into the band but Faint solidified them as one of my favourite bands of all time and It couldn't be better.

Thanks for reading all my thoughts and feel free to share any opinions in the comments guys!
