Hello all, a bit more change has occurred within our rules and structure once more, so another post shall be made to hit the highlights of what we've done.

• Our moderation team has been trimmed a bit. The entire modteam was given 48 hours to respond to a message I pinged them for in the discord, those who didn't have been removed. This is to ensure our modteam is responsive to changes and open to communicate with each other instead of operating independently of the team.
  • I know this next thing is going to be unpopular, but bari will be retained as a moderator for now. I managed to get in contact with her over the weekend and she has been very helpful in teaching me how to use the moderator tools because I am not familiar with reddit's hyperspecific UI on top of being dumb as a sock full of AA batteries. For clarification, she will not be the sole decider of any rule changes or actions, as I know some have decried, and will be supervised like every other moderator in a sorta probation-like period.
  • Additionally, some mods who were initially marked as AWOL are apparently returning eventually, so they will be retained for the time being as well.
• Furry Friday will now operate on a UTC offset time: UTC+6, to accommodate more peoples' schedules owing to our international audience. Another grace period will be in place due to the erratic change. Thanks Cromagmadon for the suggestion!
• The proposed revisions to rule 6, the NSFW rule, will hopefully be posted either tomorrow or the day after. Again, these are strictly proposals and will not immediately go into effect, only until I have determined enough of the community has properly weighed in on the matter. The proposals are open to suggestions and editing within reason by the community.
  • Additionally, changes to the rules will not be retroactively applied, i.e. posts made before the changes will not be taken down for those changes as they go into effect, as I believe that's just bad practice. Current rules still apply, however, and posts that break our current ruleset are still subject to removal at the writ of our current language.

The last thing I'd like to say is we will be opening moderator hiring to the community once more to make up for being somewhat understaffed after everything.

Hey all, I figured I should start making announcement posts somewhat regularly in order to curb the perception of a lack of transparency from our modteam to the community, hopefully this works at least to a degree. This is something I planned to do from the outset, and I know it's kinda late but here it is.

First of all, I'd like to give a little insight into my plans to have rule 6, the qualia for NSFW posts and imagery revised and recodified. As I've said before I'm planning to have this be a community vote to reflect your guys' views instead of just mine, because admittedly, I'm quite puritanical. I'm a presbyterian man from the midwest US. My concept of "pornography" is probably somebody else's idea of a good desktop wallpaper.

Now how I'm going to format this poll is something I've been struggling with, and my first idea was honestly kinda dumb. So instead I'm gonna open the floor to you guys to suggest ideas on how to get an idea of y'alls' perceptions on what is considered risque or pornographic in nature. You guys probably have at least one idea better than drawing tits on stick figures in order to determine "how big is too big." Some suggestions before have been taking posts already posted to the community and having you guys compare them to see where we draw the line, but I don't know how popular of an idea that is and personally I don't know if artists would feel comfortable having their work "graded" for this purpose.

I kinda forgot what else I was going to write into this post but if I can't remember it it probably wasn't that important. I don't think I left someone locked inside the walk-in freezer so it's probably fine.
