Check out this enormous 375 pound meteorite I saw at this amazing store in New Orleans called M.S. Rau. It’s an amazing piece but at $385,000 I had to pass it up! 😆

So I got my wedding ring today. First thing it didn’t fit. I just got sized and ordered a 10. Don’t fit maybe my finger got fat in 2 weeks? Secondly, is this real? I have seen a couple meteorites in my time as I studied geology in college but changed majors. I’ll add photos and videos in the comments.

Found these interesting for collection, purchased recently. Can any experts check if these are genuine and worth collecting?

I just went out to check the lunar eclipse and saw this

Has some cool weathering features and densely packed chondrules. Really polished up well also.

Was originally aiming for Leighlinbridge to represent Ireland in my collection but it was unobtainium since a low TKW combined with the fact that most of it are in private collections and/or museums, then I backed down and searched for other Irish falls.
I came across Limerick and Bovedy, and chose the latter since Bovedy is an L3 and we don’t usually get L3 falls that much.

Havent posted in awhile but had to share my latest piece. 840 grams with some awesome radial flow lines. Nice hand sized shield shape.

Has been out in the elements for 158 days, from wadsworth fall. 4.1 grams, the insides starting to crack and break apart, fusion crust seems great though

I try to stick to ones that look interesting. Ordinary looking meteorites dont do much for me. Martian and Lunar are next on my want list.

Not meteorite related but thought it’s cool enough to be posted here along with a part of my collection :)

I photographed these chondrules from samples of the Aba Panu meteorite, an L3 chondrite that was a witnessed fall in Nigeria in 2018. So many with diverse shapes, textures, and colors! Even a few blue ones in there!
