my truck My D21/First Car
This isn’t a post relevant to anything, but I just thought it would be fun to share the story of my truck. 3 years ago when I got my learners permit, my dad threw me the keys to, at the time, an old beat up ugly Nissan truck. Ol trusty ‘96 KA24DE. I didn’t like it. I learned how to drive stick in it though, and when I got my licenses he gave it over to me as my first car.
I took off the big Xterra wheels that wee won it when he gave it to me, and got some nice tires for the stock rims. That truck had been best to hell by the previous owner, and I’ll admit, I crashed that truck about two times owning it. Once, trying to drift it in the rain with the big I’ll Xterra wheels- which led to me rebuilding the entire front suspension - and again when I got cut off and brake checked by a student driver. I prevailed and rebuilt it all. Cooling system, timing chain, rod bearings, all of it. Now of course being new to where I lived in Georgia, I decided to join a truck group, and of course all these lifted, clapped out dodges and fords, I was the smallest with the loudest truck after I realized I could do open header.
This is the peak retard point for that truck and I. Absolutely stupid and pointless daily driver. Then after a month, I asked myself, what the hell am I doing…. Fixed the exhaust, took out the cheap LED interior lights, and made her a clean oem Nissan once again. The summer of last year I went to florids to love with my aunt and work at her company for 5 months, and that changed my life with this truck. I put a REAL chaise on it so it sounded decent, and drive it for my work car because the company vans sucked. It was a blast. Right near the end of that trip, was Destin Slammedenuff 2025. My buddy and his cousin brought down their mustang and BRZ, and we had a blast. At the time it’s was fun but after that trip, when I went back up to Georgia, my dad arranged a trade off for that truck and a really clean E39 touring he got from a friend. The E39 is more economical, easier to diagnose problems, however more expensive. But that doesn’t matter, no.
Looking back at that summer, realizing all these fun we had and silly things we did before leaving, like filling up the bed with glowsticks and driving down main street Destin at 11Pm, genuinely was the best summer ever.
To conclude this, when my dad sold the truck, the kid who purchased it crashed and totaled it the same way I nearly totaled it before, in a rear and collision. It auctioned for $4,000 even in totaled condition and a smashed front end and I wasn’t in a position to purchase that unfortunately…
I thought it would be fun to share this with you guys, and to have some fun once in a while, I hope yall enjoyed.

Got bored today…
galleryKeep in mind, this is for fun. Nowhere near a fancy show build.
I’ll use actual two part base clear when I get around to the body of the truck. Depending on how wild the girls (wife, ought as well be daughter, neighbor kid that wants to buy it) decide it needs to be.
