It's worth mentioning Aris is currently owned by Chinese-Canadian billionaire Richard Hsiao, who is known for his friendship with the Adetokunbo family

Myles Turner hosted a mini camp in Austin, TX for the squad. Love the vibes from this new beginning!

Serious Anyone else think the NBA is a joke after all this Ballmer stuff? Remember when we got punished for “tampering” with Bogdanovich?

I know we’re rebuilding for a few years post Giannis but it feels convenient with the state of the modern NBA to just stop watching until Silver is gone and Ballmer is removed from the league.

Rebrand or Just a New Jersey??

Post image
125 Upvotes

Picture of the logo being erased like chalk makes me think it could be a rebrand, but most teams announce those over the summer not a month before the season starts so idk. Looks like a new alternate jersey at least

edit: a lot of other teams have been posting this so it's probably just the city editions. definitely not a rebrand

Master Plan: Giannis/Bucks

Been a minute since I've participated, so pardon me if someone has already posted on this topic.

Ever since Giannis took us to the Promised Land we've had an unending series of Ground Hog Days occurring during what should have been The Window we had worked toward - with G hitting his Prime and having Prime Time Players to go along with him.

Painful to remember, but Every Damned Year Since (with possible recent exception), we did well enough to cruise into the Playoffs only to have Giannis mostly, but Khris or other Stars too, come up lame near the finish line. The best Ability for Stars to have is Availability - and ours didn't have it.

Arguably, we had a Great Shot at winning it every year. We had sunk a ton of money and resources into opening that Window, and we HAD to sink a ton more into keeping it open - Win or Lose - and we kept Losing. Totally Understandable, but damn.

That brought us limping into this year. Broke, busted, bummed, only one Major Asset, we would go nowhere fast. Giannis is no fool, he knows that, despite his best efforts, we couldn't overcome a series of Unfortunate Events, some of which were his own doing. He still loves this Team and City, but he realizes that we are a dead end for each other this time around. The Team realizes it too.

If only we had the money, resources, and ability to completely Renovate this Team, and maybe in, say, 3 years be in really good shape to win again. Maybe we'd be only a Superstar away. But who would want to come to Milwaukee, of all places? Hmmmmmmmmm. By leaving, Giannis has provided all the Building Blocks we need to radically improve this team, and in 3 years, guess who would be available to reap the rewards.

He hated to leave, the Team hated to see him go. Neither wanted it to happen, but it was inevitable. An amicable parting, no bridges burned. I couldn't help but thinking that this might have been a setup for the future. I'm SURE that there is no record of this coming from either side, but wouldn't it be nice IF ........

Analysis Some interesting Ware stats from an article on possible breakout players

Danny Chau on the The Ringer named Ware one of his 6 players to watch for a breakout this year. Article here: https://www.theringer.com/2026/08/24/nba/nba-breakout-candidates-2026-amen-ausar-thompson-kelel-ware

The part that caught my eye was the extrapolation of possible stats in expanded minutes. A lot of times you see people just looking at per 48 minute numbers. Instead he took two thresholds - 27 minute games and 30 minute games - and looked at his averages in games where he actually played that many minutes. He has never averaged over 22mpg in his career, but he's had a lot of individual games with extended minutes. And here's the numbers:

In games he played 27 minutes: 53 games, 14.2pts 11.4reb 1.7blk and over 3pa.

In games where he played 30 minutes: 29 games on his career, 16.2pts, 12.2reb, 2.2blk.

Those are elite numbers, especially with his fantastic 3p efficiency. I'm about as excited as I can possibly be to see how he looks as a Buck.

Now that this is a new look post era Giannis Bucks...future actually isn't so bad after all

With Herro coming to play for his hometown Bucks seeing as how he's a hometown kid from Milwaukee, does he ball out now that he's here in Milwaukee and out of Miami?

Plus Rollins was balling out but I wonder if Herro will end up taking away his touches?

And also with Kel'el Ware you can easily have him play power forward next to Myles; then you can have a Twin Towers type set up with those 2

But the future looks pretty bright in Milwaukee especially with their 2 rookies as well in Ament and Burries

Will anyone else be rooting for Giannis and Miami whenever they’re not playing the Bucks?

I know we’re rivals but I still want to see him succeed

Bleacher Report suggesting to sign and trade for Jalen Duren

The trade would be:

Bucks receive: Jalen Duren via sign-and-trade

Pistons receive: Ryan Rollins, Myles Turner, 2031- first round pick (top 5 protected)

Checked the pistons sub and they saying they would take that deal in a heartbeat. The bucks would get a 22 year old center who made an all nba last season to be part of the new core. Wondering what is the sentiment here.

Just so we're all on the same page, we cannot rebuild the old fashioned way, we either play to win or we don't, but we can't do a teardown, trade everyone with value, and stack assets.

Not just because we don't own our picks and we can't tank, not just because the payout of selling so low on the guys we do have wouldn't be worth it, but because the very League itself would discourage the classical "burn it all down and play our young guys thirty+ minutes" approach, it's unfeasible, we have to field a competitive team because it's what the League wants.

Serious About Kevin Porter Jr.

Hello Bucks fans! I'm an outsider going around asking subs how they feel about players im curious about and how they may do in the upcoming season, and for your guys' team that player happens to be KPJ.

He's obviously someone with a tricky history, injured last year and failing to start much the year before that, but when he does start the dude appears to be a monster. The only trouble is you have a clearly active guard rotation given the now established Ryan Rollins, newly present Tyler Herro, and just drafted Brayden Burries, that I wonder if he'll end up getting the minutes he needs to show out, or if he'll be the same player that could work in those minutes to begin with.
