Played most of what gets recommended here already. balatro clicked for a good while, dead cells I liked but my thumbs gave out, slay the spire I put maybe 40 hours into. Everything else I try is either got an energy timer or it's done in two hours. Mostly playing on commutes so offline is a big one. Android if that matters. what am I missing

Soul Rush is a one-tap survival runner: you're a soul on two rails, swapping sides to dodge obstacles across six escalating "trials." The core hook is that near-misses (grazing danger instead of avoiding it clean) build a meter for a temporary invincibility dash, so the risky play is also the rewarding one.

Genuinely here for feedback, not just downloads, if you try it and something feels off (pacing, difficulty spikes, anything), I want to hear it.

I built a puzzle-snake game where you can design your own levels and send them to a friend with a single QR code — Viper

Hey everyone 👋

I'm a solo dev, and for the last while I've been building Viper — think classic snake, but reimagined as a proper puzzle game. No timers breathing down your neck, no random death. Every level is a hand-crafted little brain-teaser: chase the eggs, thread through tight corridors, and use portals to pop out the other side of the board and turn a maze into an actual puzzle.

But the part I'm proudest of is the CREATE mode. There's a full level editor built in — a clean 19×19 grid and four tools (walls, eggs, portals, erase). You paint a level, hit TEST to play it instantly, and save it. It even auto-checks that your level is actually beatable before it saves, so you can't ship a broken puzzle by accident.

And here's the bit I think is genuinely fun: every level you make becomes a QR code / share link. No account, no upload, no server. Show a friend the QR code across the table, or fire the link into your group chat — they tap it, Viper opens straight into your level, and they're playing. Build a brutal little portal puzzle and dare your friends to beat it. 😈

Mechanics decide almost everything. Creatures apply root, slow, drunk, burning and more, and positioning plus timing is what actually wins, free to play, with nothing to buy and zero pay to win

I need more games like Night In The Woods, and I like art stuff like Fran Bow and Sally Face but get sick of so much puzzles, anything else you can recommend on android or ipad thats actually available now, paid games are good with me.

Razer have announced a new foldable gaming controller.

Not sure how solid it will be when playing. The first kishi which did a similar thing had a lot of movement.

As I’m sure many of you know, those ads are misleading and don’t actually represent the gameplay in Township or Kingshot.

Do any of you know any games where that is the gameplay, with nothing more?

The game is an old-school digger, where you go on digs, upgrade the drill between runs, and try to reach deeper. You can also visit other locations for special quests. It's super easy to learn, relaxing to play, and easy to pick up and put down, so I feel it's good for when you have to wait somewhere for a short while.
