Idk why you guys think zone is so potent lol teams barely use a zone it’s so easy to exploit especially with 3 seconds in the key rules. It’s not a true European zone.

I don’t think some of you guys understand how easy it would be for Jordan to score today with all the space that’s available. Double teams were a joke to him. 

For Jordan to jump 48 inches, he would have to get his eyes above the rim.

He is around 41" in gif #1. And hes jumping with a ball in hand and off one leg from distance while twisting his body sideways.

In linear distance: The space from the eyes to the very top of the head is typically about 4.5 to 6 inches (11 to 15 cm) in an average adult.

Jordan was a large human at 6'6.

So from the top of Jordans head to the bottom of his eyes should be about 6 inches.

For someone 6'6 to get his head level with the rim is about 42 inches.

So 42 inches plus 6 inches is 48 inches.

Judging from these clips, if Jordan was jumping for max vertical:

1. No ball (jumping with a ball significantly lowers your vertical. Watch Vince, Gerald Green and Lebron dunk with a ball vs no ball, for reference)
2. Jump off both feet (Jordan jumped higher off two feet than just off one foot)
3. Jump straight up, not sideways from outside the paint.

I would say it's very likely that Jordan would be able to get his eyes above the rim.

It's always hard to judge Jordans max vertical because he almost always jumped with a ball. And when he was doing alley oops, he would only go for the ball and not jump his max.

Look at gif #3. He gets 40 inches and he jumping from the freethrow line and with a ball in hand, off of one foot.

Let Jordan jump straight up off a running start, off both feet, with no ball hes able to swing his arms for more boost and hes getting his eyes over the rim IMO.

OKC is no match for the Heatles, who'd recovered from a disastrous 2011 Finals to beat the thunder handily, narrowly clutching a 2013 Finals the next year.

Theoretically, had Thabo Sefolosha not existed to guard Tony Parker, the Spurs who were arguably better than the Thunder would've advanced, matching the 2012 Heat in the Finals, theoretically.

Theoretically, the relationship between LeBron, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh wasn't quite advanced enough, and Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili, and Tim Duncan would've been less aged than they were in 2013 during their collapse.

A 2012 Finals possibly would've, theoretically, resulted in a Spurs game 7 win, and another matchup next year sees the Grizzlies have no chance of beating the Spurs. Another matchup in 2013 sees the Spurs crew being theoretically more experienced with LeBron, where they probably would've theoretically figured out how to guard him and Wade (rotations with Ginobili and Kawhi) and worn down the ancient Ray Allen if he even theoretically got minutes, and would've theoretically exploited the shooting inconsistencies of Mario Chalmers and the fact that Miami's center is essentially a role player.

The 2014 Finals would theoretically only see the same result as it did in our timeline: The Heat balling out of their minds but Kawhi Leonard being theoretically too damn good for them to win.

Aftermath: The Heat superteam ends up being disappointing, Tim Duncan three-peats and retires with seven, having a substantial case as basketball's greatest. Kawhi has four, and LeBron only has two. Westbrook and Harden never touch the finals, theoretically.

Peak for peak I just wouldn’t take paul over either of the 2, no hate but he’s just not on their levels and it’s time to admit the truth.
