Finally after a month of watching videos of cool Corvette I got the game.

I'm excited, but what mode should I choose? I didn't know there are so many modes, and you can change difficulty inside Normal Mode?? I thought it's a multiplayer game, how does that work if everyone has different difficulty?

Please share with me some things that I should know as a beginner, this is my first space game.

Hey everyone, it's been 6 months since I released NMS Customizable Third Person Camera, and for the past month I've been working on this mod update that adds custom camera distances for ships, corvettes, and all exocrafts, since a lot of people have been asking for this, plus a custom camera height adjustment for Minataur Power Suit.

I've also added custom in-game options under Options > Camera, so you can adjust mod settings without editing the .ini file or using hotkeys.

Two years ago, I went full ham and put like 100 hours into this game. I searched endlessly for the perfect planet to build my "main" base and found the most amazing place with glowing waves of grass and beautiful, colorful rings in the sky. I constructed this absolutely massive, detailed, totally furnished, entirely glass base so I could marvel at the views from my glass palace, or whatever.

I log back on today, after all this time, and the planet has COMPLETELY CHANGED in appearance. It's horrible and bleak and monotone. My heart hurts 🙃 is this a thing???

When I built my first one (the green one) I thought it looked like a classic car style paint job. It gave me an idea and then built three more. All are named for one of the 4 races in NMS and a classic car inspired by Outerspace. L to R the Autophage Pulsar, Gek Starfire, Vy'keen Star Chief, and Korvax Comet. Also these ships all have identical parts using the Turbofan fuselage, Scimitar wings with Drill tips and Crescent sails.

English is my first language (still terrible at grammar though). I am reading this with a silent "e" at the end. Therefore, it is just those syllables of "New Boy Mouth".

Have you seen any names that stick to your memory the game generated? I chuckled at first but also was like "really? procedurally generated with what algorithm did this name come from?" 😄 🤔

I learned about the fauna scanning boost with "Nectar Islands," so I went on a several hour mission to find a planet with lots of Floradae creatures and plopped a base down. There are Floradae everywhere on this planet. I've got a Cactus and Frostwort bio-dome, and Livestock Harvesting unit all in one place.

Now to go gather some eggs.

So apparently, if someone were to say, activate a portal, and then that someone for completely innocent reasons captures a Sentinel drone using their Gravitino Coil, and then tries to take said drone through the portal... ATLAS ends the simulation (ie. CTD). 😄

I find it frustrating finding missions and ships to harvest to get ship storage upgrades. So I decided to try another avenue.

Buy cheap ships that you can tear down to get a fab part. Fighters work well. Buy an S class reactor core. Assemble ship and then scrap.

I bought 6 fighters at around 4 to 5 million each. I bought 2 S class reactor cores. I got them for about 7800 nanites each. I got back about 3 to 4 million units after scrapping each ship. I got back about 1400 nanites from each ship. I got 5 storage upgrades (3 from one, 2 from the other).

So the station wants to charge me 75 million for each storage upgrade (not sure is this slides). But scrapping 2 S class ships for about 30 million nets me 5. Of course it cost me about 12K nanites. So if you want to do this you need a good source of nanites. If you have cash then pirate stations equal nanites.

I think this will make getting storage upgrades less frustrating.

Or rather the new pet taking my guy for a ride.

My mission is to gather resources and explore this place to see if it is actually abandoned with no trades posts or anything.

My take on The Den from Starfield - not finished, but almost there.
