Hii! I’m applying to colleges very soon and have seen so many mixed emotions on Pace University. I live in Chicago, but most of my family lives in New York and when I was looking for schools, this was most recommended for me. I’m going into media marketing and business and although my grades aren’t outstanding (Like as in I’m not all A’s and rarely B’s type of thing), I have a lot of work with outside of school stuff like volunteer hours, running a school club insta and TikTok, creative writing awards, and just a lot of theatre crap lol. Sorry to list what I’ve done, but I want as many truthful answers as possible.

I’ve heard this school is very good for arts and business so that’s why I’m hopeful, everywhere I’ve looked just hasn’t seemed as good education wise for me (that I can get into). I also really wanted somewhere diverse.

I am going to be a business marketing major and am not sure what I need for school or what most students use?? Is it an iPad, MacBook or something else ( dell/ ibm /rtc)

I would defintely watch out for this school. There is almost no contact with important matter offices. I have been trying to contact for months and I have recived no response by email nor phone call. Honestly this has been a disappointing experience. Furthermore, every adminstrative process takes forever. My classmate waited months to receive response about his disability for accommodations in the fall and he ended up dropping out because they were never were granted. He left with failing grades and lost months of tuition money. If you have accommodations, get them before enrolling or avoid this school if your looking for a supportive and quick process. Pace University indcates on its website, aswell as under Section 504 and American Disability Act (ADA), accomedations must legally be provided in a reasonable and timely matter. Under courts and Department of Education Offices for Civil Rights requires schools to provide temporary accomedations, which unfortunately was not provided... Anyone else dealt with a similar situation?

Can anyone who has completed the Pace ABSN program in NYC talk about what it takes to be successful in the program? How many hours of studying did you do per week, how did you prepare for lectures and exams? Is there anything you wish you knew before starting the program?

I start at the end of the month and want to start prepping as much as I can.

I'm currently in grad school at Pace pursuing my M.S. in Comp Sci. I'm just starting this fall semester and I have the opportunity to choose a focus. My question is should I pursue AI or App Development?

For some context, I'm currently working as a full stack dev and my main goal with grad school is to find more job opportunities. I did my undergrad in comp sci/applied math and I see the job market is getting very competitive for junior devs. I know most will say grad school is a waste for comp sci but I genuinely think it'll be my chance to fix my gpa (I graduated with a 2.7) and maybe open more doors with military as a fall back (<3.0 is needed for officer).

Im genuinely interested in app development and some of the classes like Linux dev and game dev seem really cool but I'm worried that if I don't pick the AI focus route I'll be out of a job as a junior dev. My thought process is pick AI so I can work in the field taking my job.

Anyways, I don't have many people to ask for advice for this so I thought this would be the only place to really get some insight. Thanks in advance!

Hello!! I've been staying at Pace over the summer and was wondering if anyone has been able to connect their consoles to the PACE-GUEST WiFi. I added the MAC address of my Nintendo Switch to the My Devices portal, but I'm still unable to connect my switch to the internet. Do I have to wait for the submission status to change from pending before I'm able to connect to the internet? Or is this feature just not compatible with a switch?

I am a Mental Health Counseling Doctoral Candidate in the Dyson School of Arts and Sciences Psychology and Psychology Department at Pace University. I am working on my dissertation under my faculty advisor, Joseph Franco, PhD, LMHC, NCC, ACS.
 
I would like to invite you to take part in my research study for fulfillment of my doctoral requirements on exploring the lived experience of women who have experienced sexual coercion perpetrated by a romantic partner. If you are between the ages of 21and 35 years of age, have experienced sexual coercion from a romantic partner whom you were not married to and were with for one year or more, you are invited to take an initial questionnaire to determine participation eligibility. If you are determined to be eligible following the questionnaire you will be invited to engage in an approximately 60 minute virtual interview to discuss your experience.
 
The study is approved by the IRB #2025-212. The initial questionnaire will take approximately 10 to 12 minutes and the virtual interview is expected to take approximately 60 minutes.

To preface, I am a first gen, white, low-income female from a very rural town. I am a junior in high school and going to college in New York City is my absolute dream. I want to become a Neonatologist. I plan on majoring in neuroscience, and minoring in French (just as something I really enjoy). I have a 3.9 UW GPA, I have a 34 ACT, I have taken 5 online, self-study AP classes, and I am projected to get 4s and 5s in all of those. I am taking 3 more AP classes next year. I am the president of my HOSA chapter, and I competed and got 4th internationally last year, hoping to get first this year. I created a pre-med club at my school and we have done a successful teddy bear drive for a child advocacy center, and a hygiene drive for students in my community. I tutor kids every week, 3 of which being in normal subjects, and then I spend my weekends teaching children ESL. I am a B1 level in French, and I self-study that as well. I job shadow a nurse practitioner often, and I also have 150 volunteer hours (between clinics, tutoring, and library). I also have smaller ECs like student council secretary, a drug-free statewide group, and the school board student committee, which I am very active in as well. Lastly, I am doing a research thing through Columbia this summer, and I plan to advance in my ECs as well. I am Early Decisioning Columbia University (my dream, but due to my mediocre stats, I dont think I would get in) and I am Early Actioning Pace. If I dont make it into either, I will RD Barnard, NYU, Fordham, CUNY, and Northeastern's (NYC campus). Please let me know!

for context: i’m graduating from a small public high school in pennsylvania this year and plan on majoring in behavioral neuroscience or psychology on the pre-med track with a minor in east asian studies. going to pace would be REALLY cheap for me which is the main reason it’s my top school right now. plus i got into their honors college.

i’m mainly worried about getting into med school (i’m planning on being a psychiatrist) and, from what i understand, pace isn’t really known for their sciences.

frankly, idgaf about the stereotypical college life experience and don’t mind that pace university does not have a regular campus like other schools. i’m more concerned about there being such a big greek life scene because i really do NOT want to join a sorority. im also not a party person.

Hi everyone! I was recently accepted into the Pace ABSN program for the fall. I've accepted and am excited to start. However, I am questioning the financial decision I'm making. I found out from financial aid that I don't qualify for any aid or basic merit scholarships. The person I spoke with also didn't sound optimistic about the specific CHP or ABSN scholarships.

I was wondering if anyone has paid for their ABSN using scholarships. If so, did you use the university-endowed scholarships or outside ones? I don't think I can attend with just student loans/savings, so any other tips are welcome.

Hey guys! I'm looking for some advice on if there is literally anything else I can do. I got into Pace Univeristy as a transfer student so I got 10,000 less than if I applied in my first years as an undergrad. After federal loans, work study, and all merit aid, I am still short around 20k. I am already in community college in NJ after transfering from a four year CUNY that I didn't like and was too expensive for what it was. I have no cosigner that qualifies for private loans, I've searched for niche scholarships but not many that tons of people aren't applying to. What else can I do? I'm facing the music of just having to live at home again and sacrifice the amazing music industry program and connections they have to be at an in state institution with no where near the same opportunities. Is there anyone I can contact at Pace? I'm waiting for a response on my appeal letter, but my hopes are low. If anyone knows anything pleaseeee update, I even made a go fund me to raise funds but I know the bar is so low right now.
