Telling people to “go back to your own country” for political gain is not the standard we should expect from a Minister of the Crown.

Our elected representatives should uphold the dignity of the country they represent — not dishonour it for political advantage.

Hi everyone. What would you guys say the walkability is like in Palmy? Is it pretty accessible for pedestrians? Considering a move there but not too sure. I haven’t really stopped in to take a proper look, so it’d be nice to get some general ideas on what it’s like!

I’ve had a small, swollen bump near my inner tear duct for a week. I need a GP to examine it and potentially refer me to an eye specialist.

Planning on moving to Palmy for uni (will be a mature student, 29 when starting)

Tell me all the things that make Palmy a great place to live!

My partner and I are outdoorsy (rock climb, skiing, mountain biking, kayaking etc) and nerdy (d&d, board games etc).

We have been living in Chch and will be very sad to leave, but want to be excited about our life change 😊

New Zealand’s ninth-largest airport by visitor numbers, which sits over an active fault line, has pushed play on the demolition and redevelopment of its new terminal building. Starting work late last month, the NZ $43 million revamp of Palmerston North airport – to be constructed by LT McGuinness – is the latest in a long line of airports embracing mass timber over steel-and-concrete, with crews to install a massive glulam mono-pitch roof over a 5,000 square-metre area, with glulam columns supporting the rafters and X-frame beams forming the front and back walls.

Can anyone recommend a place that does a nice high tea in Palmy? TIA

At the rugby grounds at Massey there is a tall metal frame with rings, that appears to be a training target for hookers to throw at. Does anyone have a photo of it? I live in BOP but it’s fascinated me for years and looks like a cool idea. TIA.
