Game Image/Video RDR 2 still looks incredible on pc even without rtx

EDIT: I don't think people know what an art director does in a video game.

It isn't "art direction" it is a shitload of time and money.

Production value. Rockstar games are the most expensive games being made and should not be compared to other games because of that.

Time and money doesn't magically get you good things. We have seen this too many times now.

What do you think directs production value? Genuinely, asking this as someone that works in what is considered a "AAA" studio.

It's both, brother. You can sink a shitload of time and money and get a very uninspired mess if your direction isn't top notch.

Good art direction is the Zelda games.

Good production values is Rickstar games.

There is a world of difference.

Yes. Realism in RDR2 looks different to TLOU2. Because of art direction.
