the pattern in the 5 year data looks very pointed and not at all organic, imo. I don't recall fox news using the same language 20 years ago, which would affect the 20 year graph

Pointed is organic. It's typical virality. You were claiming there was an election / time-based pattern.

The peaks don't correlate at all with election cycles. The only spike prior to / during an election is the large one in 2018. All of the others tend to happen at seemingly random times unrelated to elections.

Yes, that big spike was during the midterms in 2018 with smaller spikes during other election years.

Trump said he invented the word caravan, and the 2018 elections prove he used it to try to keep a GOP majority in the house, which didn't work.

So...no spike before the 2016 election, a small spike a month or two after the 2020 election, a tiny spike, again, just after the 2024 election. The only big spike is just before the 2018 midterms.

There's no real pattern there. If anything, the data makes it look like the story was pushed only once, in the lead up to the 2018 midterms.

It's showing 2004 to present it's pretty damn difficult to get to the peak using my phone but after finally getting it, it was at 100 from October 31st - November 30th 2018. It started in late September and only had a handful of searches. It's just been falling since it hit that peak. It looks a LOT like donald tried to use the phrase to get people in the midterms to go vote Republican to "stop it".

The sole spike that correlates with any election is the one just before the 2018 midterms.

There is no pattern.

Doesn't mean the story isn't contrived BS, but the data doesn't show the story being recycled for multiple elections.

The spikes are:

April 2018 - AZ special election where Democrats nearly flipped a seat in a district Trump won by 21 points.

2018 midterms

Dec 2020 Georgia runoff that would determine who controls the Senate.

Oct 2021 when Youngkin upset McAuliffe in VA, which was widely teated as a bellweather for the 22 midterms.

June 2022 when Republicans flipped a House seat from Dems in a special election.

Nov 2024 general election

The Migrant Caravan was Hondurans fleeing Honduras after Obama destabilized the country. They were nowhere near the US and weren’t headed to the US either, but they were real. And it was only brought up while 1 Democrat was in the White House.

Why do you have difficulty telling the truth?

Yeah the fentanyl czar that made a fortune, by charging the cartels hundreds of millions to convert them from drug cartels to pharmaceutical distributors that can legally dump their products in the US. The Donald got his 75% cut of the profits. I do have a question where is all the money from the Venezuelan oil going?

I’m not familiar with the Canadian stats on it, but I do remember hearing that per year the number of pounds coming from places like china, India, mexico being exponentially more. Which is logical. The whole year of Canadas contribution to fentanyl in America was nothing compared to the amounts coming from places that were not Canada.

You may not know this but that's not even a drop in the bucket compared to the 881.84 pounds that was seized during a raid in the US last year.

I know you want to credit Donald opioid high Trump for it but he had NOTHING to do with it. DEA used their standard ways to take down the trap house and get as deep as they could into the trafficking operations before making a move.

You understand how investigations work, right? Well this one wasn't started by him. The DEA took out an entire route, very obviously a multi-year investigation that Terry Cole wanted to take the entire route out too. So probably the former president Barack Obama's or Joe Biden's DEA is the only reason it happened.

Typically MOST of the stuff that is allowed through the border goes to a trap house in the border state. They'll get in contact with the local police departments where they still need a warrant but are the ones to make the arrest. After they "clear" the trap house the DEA does a search and seizure.

All your beloved did was double tap fishing boats and watch from an area that wasn't exactly secure.

I remember it being laughably small. Definitely less than 50 pounds. Something that could have been a single vehicle haul. I also remember whatever the quantity was, it was like a weekend's supply for my local area (NYC).
