Democrats need a brawler of a president who’s going to rub Republicans faces in the carpet with the mess that they made. That Democrat needs to go with full force using all the power that has been given to the presidency to the point where Republicans will be crying to claw back the power and finally fix the executive branch. It is a perversion of the democracy that a president can unilaterally commit the USA to war. And it’s been politically convenient that they’ve never bothered to fix that. Now we have a president unilaterally violating treaties, imposing tariffs, inventing branches of the government, and overall committing crimes like destroying parts of the White House and the Supreme Court is basically saying well maybe that’s unlawful but what can we do. So I say let a Democrat do all that punitively and we’ll figure out how much the rest of the government wants to be in control again, and maybe this time we won’t just willingly give it back, just for fun.
