They're getting so big!

So far it's a mama and 3 younglings. Mama would like to come down and introduce herself but she's still a bit timid.

They hung out in my yard when they were younger. Mama was leading them somewhere when I interrupted them 🤎

I swear she is made of noodles lol

...but the ticket vendor told me they should represent dragon footprints. 😄

What type of fish do raccoon like to eat?

Bitey, one of the raccoons at work, gave birth in the spring. When she came back after spending several weeks with the kits, I didn't recognize her initially because her face fur turned white. I only realized it was her when i saw the notches in her ear. I tried searching to see if this was a common thing but didnt find much. Just curious if anyone else has noticed this?

It's high-five at 0:53 is quite an individual act. I wonder where it learns that. And, it leaves with a sad turn-back right after I say goodbye. It can't be my hand signal because I wave in the same way when I say I have no food for them. So, if it is not the hand signal, it gotta be the words. Interesting.

Raccoons in the Woods

The younglings love wrestling after dinner

This little fella has spent the last 2 days snoozing outside my son’s bedroom. An absolute cutie who I hope won’t cause any havoc 😬

Some context
Last week we found this raccon, he was skinny. Like a cat’s average build skinny.
Today hes seem to have gotten a bit fatter so thats good. But anyways… he’s just in rough shape. When we first saw him, we tried to catch him to take him to the shelter but realized it was the weekend so they were closed. We just released him after my parents called several other places for advice— nothing useful given.
We thought he would die but hes surprisingly still here!

He has no tail, wobbles a lot (worse than the video sometimes), missing a part of his ear, and has a big scar on his back.

If he were younger, i wouldnt mind taking him in as a rescue n release after healing, but seeing how its been a week and he still behaves the same, i think he’d end up a special needs pet haha. But hes too big and we have many cats :( he’s trying to keep one of the outdoor cats in his view to keep himself protected (the cat is just laying down lol).
