Hi everyone! I’m starting the Business Administration program tomorrow.

The bookstore lists several textbooks as required, some of which include online access codes like CONNECT and WileyPLUS.

I’m hoping to buy used textbooks to save money, but I’m not sure if the online codes are actually needed for assignments or if the physical textbooks are enough.

Would you recommend waiting until the first class and asking the profs whether we need the textbook, the online access code, or both before buying anything?

I’m wondering if I should get a car rn I’m about to start my pre requisites for nursing but idk if I can continue to pay it in future coz idk if I’ll still have a job. Are you able to manage a job while going to school?

I will be attending my program’s orientation on Aug 31st. I just wanted to ask where the room GM 44 is? And if parking is free?

Winter 2026 Nursing Applicants — RRC Polytech

RRC has updated the Fall 2026 Nursing minimum accepted AGPA to 3.36.

Do you think the December 2026 (Winter) intake will be less competitive, or could the cutoff be around the same level?

Also, is anyone here applying for the Winter 2026 Nursing intake?

Hello! There was a similar post a couple weeks ago. I was wondering if any MLS or MRT student who submitted a transfer credit request for A&P and/or Medical Terminology have received any updates since then?

I emailed the transfer credit office last week for an update since it's been 8 weeks since I've submitted my request but no reply yet.

seems like lots of my classes are very similar, but almost all were for less credit hours than their rrc equivalents. Are they gonna screw me on this and make me take all my first year classes again?

Anybody know the best way to get the textbook (the language of medicine 13th ed.) Cuz I'm not paying $170 at the campus store 😭

Still haven’t received any updates on rehab aide regarding class schedule and course load and stuff, has anyone else? Its my first time going to college so this is very new to me getting a lot of anxiety 😭😭😭

Took a 2 year gap to work. Now wanting to go back to school for nursing but need my 24 credits. I'm planning on taking them at University of Winnipeg , what classes do I take?

Also, would there be any difference if I take my classes at U of M ?

I am thinking of applying to nursing at red river for the Spring or Fall 2027.

I have a few questions:
1). i heard that clinicals at the UOFM is tedious with it being twice a week. How is it like at RRC?

2). is RRC kinda like a school where all classes begin by 7am and end at 3pm? or do you select the specific time of your courses like the UofM where you won’t have classes on Mondays and friday’s but you have classes every tuesday’s and thursdays

3). can someone give me what their experience is like? like just narrate it and if it’s hard or stressful? my friends and colleagues have been telling me that nursing at the UofM is STRESSFUL and terrible. stress does not do good on my body and i am hyper sensitive to stress (on a 9-month therapy program though ) so i would really love to know

4). is it true that they won’t be having summer breaks anymore? i really want summer breaks and that’s one more reason why i want to join RRC

5). when is the start time for spring? is it in march or april or may?

Hey yall I’m planning to apply for next year’s intake and was wondering what experiences did you all have prior to getting accepted

I heard the program’s highly competitive now and I’m kinda nervous to apply. I’ve only got a gen sci degree + hca certification for post-2ndary education and i’m not sure if i’m competitive enough. Would getting more lab work experience give me an advantage? Or is patient care experience enough?

I am originally from the USA and a citizen, just moved to Winnipeg recently and have PR status. I applied for the 2027 MLS program at RRC and just wondering if anyone knows if the program is certified for you to be eligible to take the ASCP/i exam? I may return to the USA so I would like to do both ASPC/i and CSMLS certifications if possible.

Has anyone been accepted straight from highschool? I’m honestly just trying to get an idea of my chances but I feel like I already know 💔

I’ve heard people mention that it’s better to get a degree or diploma first if I really wanted to get accepted. I graduate highschool next year and I plan to go into this program afterwards. I’m really worried since it seems very competitive and I have just realized what I am up against.

But if I were to get a degree/diploma beforehand, does anyone have any programs they suggest?

Hello! I've applied for the upcoming 2026 Fall Term for the Nursing program, and am still waiting for application results with about a 2.8 aGPA. Is it unlikely that I'll be getting into the program?

Has anyone gotten their schedules for their programs yet?? Someone I know apparently got theirs already and theyre in the business administration program. So just wondering if the schedule drops are program specific.

Anybody knows what's the title for the textbook you purchased for statistics? I'm trying to find it in the Red River Campus Book Store online.
