I took the August SAT and genuinely felt blindsided by the Reading/Writing section, especially Module 1. The first 3–5 questions were already way harder than what I was used to, the vocab was insane, and some of the passages/questions just did not feel similar to the official practice material I had been using.

The problem is I genuinely don’t know what else to study for September. I’ve done basically everything 😭 I did all of Khan Academy, Bluebook practice tests, a TON of the College Board Question Bank (including the newer 2026 questions), Ravi’s Academy, Prep Expert, OnePrep, etc. I’ve taken a lot of practice tests too, so I feel like I have a pretty good idea of what SAT RW normally feels like, and August felt noticeably different/harder.

For anyone else who took August and felt the same way: what are you doing differently to prepare for September?

Are there any resources that actually have:

• vocab as difficult as August
• harder Words in Context questions
• really dense science/literature passages
• harder inference/evidence questions
• questions that actually felt similar to the August test

I don’t really want another generic “do Khan Academy/Question Bank/Bluebook” recommendation because I’ve already exhausted those. I’m specifically looking for harder material that can prepare me if September RW is like August again.

If you took August, PLEASE tell me what you’re using

Like, I am bound to fail when I encounter one of these. I am not a native speaker so I couldn't immerse myself into this kind of literature in the past.

Hello. I’m taking the September sat and haven’t started preparing due to other responsibilities but now I’m able to. Does anyone have ways to improve my score in basically a week. I’m able to study for 3 hours daily now as I have made time.

I took the august SAT. I signed up for Sept SAT. I finished all my bluebook tests. I feel shaking on my English and want to practice some of the very hard math questions as well.

Wondering what people would do in my situation and overall thoughts on using Oneprep (only the free stuff)

I don't want to pay for it so is the free stuff enough?

Within 4 days i have managed to go from 1270 to 1400 on practice tests, and my goal of 1500+ seems to be tangible now. Although i am paranoid if i actually got that good or if the practice test was easier than others. With 12 days left to the September SAT, i would like any advice u guys have to get even better!!

Math module 2 is just hell

I know the scores come out in like 3 days but I am so stressed about it. I really need to get a 1500+ this time since this is my 4th attempt and I signed up for the September one too but I haven't resumed studying yet.. what do I do? I haven't touched my materials since August 22nd ... :/

What are the best skills(topics) to put in the SAT question bank to practice medium and hard level regression questions? Like SCARY questions that NEED to be solved through hardcore regression. Also, how many questions (estimated) of that type (hardcore regression) will I get in the official SAT?

I don't know why but I genuinely struggle with passage questions like main ideas, complete the passage, information and ideas and was wondering if anyone got any tips that actually helped them. I consistently score 770+ on math already and just need to get that reading score up. Thank you.

i would like an explanation, i picked option D because i thought that i was looking at the paragraph and choosing to see which would be parallel to it(in sentence 1 it uses present perfect). i have been making a lot of mistakes recently when it comes to these types of questions especiallly if it entails an -ing word. could anyone tell me how i can stop making these errors.

My math score was 650 on the first attempt and it decreased on the second attempt. I haven't used desmos for anything beside calculations and graphing (finding intersections for an example). Are there any videos that I can watch or any tips that anyone has to use desmos more effectively? I will be taking the SAT this month.

I was doing questions on the hard advanced math question box and noticed that before (at least what I noticed) there were ~120 questions. However, today, I see that there are ~160 questions. This isn’t because of the new questions that were added in early August. This is a yesterday vs today type of thing. Has there always been 160 or did they add new questions or even possibly reassign some medium difficulty questions to harder?

The closer we get to saturday- results day where I am- the more I want to crawl in a hole and hide for all eternity. This august was my second attempt and I had been DESPERATELY trying to boost my score by 200 points but the way that paper went just left me feeling confused as hell. So many people found it easy, and just as many found it hard, so I've basically been left trying to understand if I'm js stupid as hell and found an easy paper hard, or whether I actually did really well on M1 and got the horrid honor of being blessed with that beautifully horrific M2 Math and RW. If i don't get a 1500+ this time i'm really screwed for uni apps so lowkey js praying 😔🪬

I basically used up almost all of the official College Board material while preparing for the August SAT. I’ve done all the practice tests and pretty much every R&W exercise I could find and I’ve also read a few books on SAT R&W.

The problem is that I’ve been lacking new material for the September SAT and there are only 9–10 days left. I’ve tried looking for other resources, but a lot of them seem to just reuse College Board questions or put the same questions into a different format.

I don’t really need much additional Math prep since it's already one of my stronger areas, so I’m mainly looking for R&W practice.

Are there any free resources with genuinely different SAT style R&W questions that I could use? I’m mainly looking for actual exercises... Would appreciate any suggestions

I’ll be appearing for SAT on 3rd October. I’m finding candidates that are also going to appear on 3rd October but they’ve been practicing full length exams already while I’m focusing on topical questions at this moment until I get a strong grip over the topic. I’ve completed (also includes practice) around 50% of the English section and 70-80% of the Maths section. I’ve not touched even a single full length practice test yet. Am I still on the right track? Also, this month I’ll be focusing on my A levels Maths exam as well so do y’all think I can keep up with both of them (SAT and A levels Maths) simultaneously?

Does any one have advice on how to use desmos or have like a really good resource for me?? I struggle with advanced math category. As for English, I struggle to read the passages because it’s just so much information to read in such a short period of time. I got a 1040 on my first practice test btw. Higher math than English .

Hey guys! I'm pretty messed up now 😭.

My latest practice test's score is 1260 (600 RW, 660 MTH) and I wanna improve to 1450 minimum.

I don't know what to do. I also have to manage my High School Senior year with the SAT. So I kinda have approx 2 hours for SAT every day (weekdays) and 4 hours on weekends.

I have got a lot of material. I bought a tutor's premium portal. So I have access to about 22 extra Full Length Exams, a lot of practice and topic Wise tests of each topic. Additionally, I also have separate practice modules of RW and MTH each.

And also the 7 bluebook tests and SAT question bank.

How should I do a targeted preparation. I somehow manage to get a harder module but get a lot of questions wrong in the harder module.

My Writing section is almost perfect. Reading is pretty bad (Specifically hard questions). MTH is moderate (I get hard questions wrong plus some medium ones also).

What preparation plan should I build in order to maximize my score?

Should I start doing Full Lengths and learn by diagnosing my mistakes?

Should I start doing SAT question bank hard questions?

What should I do??

the September sat will be my last chance before certain deadlines, and i really need at least a 730 math. I’ve watched a few desmos videos, and i think one james lu math video but i just couldn’t remember any of the tricks and stuff on the August sat and freaked out. does anyone have any tricks to help memorize them or anything? I don’t want to take a practice sat yet since I only have 2 left and don’t know where else to get questions I could practice them on accurately. I’ve always loved math but sat math is just not it.

my mom wants me to get a 1550 but i keep seeing people say that a 1530 clears the baseline and anything higher barely moves the needle for top colleges. do i have a shot of getting a 1530 in september, and do i need to go higher for that 1550?
