Lazy Summer Sundays with FREE live music
Richard Wileman is a composer & songwriter from Swindon, UK. His music often has gothic, surrealist or cosmic themes and is influenced by prog, experimental, classical, soundtracks, easy listening, library music, folk horror and art rock.
He releases albums with his project Karda Estra (mainly instrumental) and under his own name (which includes songs). Richard also enjoys co-writing and this has led to collaboration albums with Matt Baber (Sanguine Hum), Kavus Torabi (Cardiacs, Gong) and Paul Sears (The Muffins). He also contributes from time to time to albums by Spirits Burning which has resulted in collaborations with members of Hawkwind, Blue Oyster Cult, Gong, Tangerine Dream and author Michael Moorcock, amongst others.
Richard will be joined by Amy Fry (vocals, clarinet & saxophone) who has worked with him for nearly twenty years on his solo, Karda Estra and collaborative projects. Richard’s music is regularly featured/ reviewed in Prog magazine and played on Stuart Maconie’s Freak Zone radio show on BBC 6Music.
Live music is scheduled to start at 2pm. Entry is FREE to all, although we'd love it if you could support our museum by buying some refreshments at our tearoom, where coffees, teas, and hot chocolates are only £1.50.
There is some parking available on Day House Lane, and paid public parking at Coate Water Country Park. Parking at the museum is reserved for volunteers and the disabled.
