Agents standing near paps cyclezone helmet booth will approach you asking if you own a credit card. As soon as you say yes, they instantly turn on the charm. They lay it on thick, telling you they're just introducing a new bank and offering freebies or raffle entries. They make it sound completely effortless, reassuring you that you just have to listen for a few quick minutes, fill out a simple form, and walk away with a free gift without spending a single cent. They keep telling you it's free and that there's zero catch, practically pulling you along with their friendly pitch until you agree to step inside their ground floor office. Manila Bankers is a legitimate company, but the way they pull people in with these free giveaways is basically a scam.
Once they get you inside, that friendly vibe completely shifts into a high-pressure hard sell. They sit you down for what turns into a full two-hour presentation on their savings and insurance plans. When I told them I needed time to think about it, they immediately hit me with the classic urgency trap, claiming it was a "one-time-only offer" that I'd lose if I walked out the door. I still wasn't about to make an impulsive financial decision on the spot, so I held my ground and declined. That's when their attitude completely flipped. They sarcastically made comments about how nobody forced me to stay and that sitting there was my own choice, even though they were the ones who dragged out the pitch and pressured me to sign. To make it worse, I didn't even end up getting the gift they promised in the first place. If you're walking around Rob Marasbaras and someone approaches you about a free raffle, do yourself a favor and just keep walking.
