Look up "chrome" tattoos. This is a great example and there is other really impressive stuff out there.

I can’t remember the name of the style, but this reminds me of the neon/UV artwork inside amusement park dark rides. They use layers of UV-reflective and neon paints to make the artwork look 3D, kind of like how you’ve stacked these colors.

You can deffo still get colour tattoos! Just a little more limited on which colours work well and which don’t (like avoid pastels and white-based colours) and have to find an artist that truly understands colour theory and has experience tattooing more melanated skin tones :)

How much editing you did in the photo? Looks like you blurred the tattoos around and sharpened the pepper which makes it hard to see the tattoo as a natural piece. Amazing work and loved the mixing tones of red

Haven’t blurred anything in this one 🤷🏻‍♀️ and that’s all I do. I don’t sharpen my images, just blur the background so the focus is on the new piece

Not every tattoo has to have some deep meaning 🤣 her goal was to get tattooed every month in 2026, and I’d previously done a red chilli pepper on someone else that she loved!

Not at all. The artists that have done my tattoos won’t do chromium or the UV stuff. It’s toxic, there at lots of bad reactions, and I think it’s not even legal in some states in America.

You can create chrome looks without chromium and there’s chromium in tattoo needles in general.

Mate I didn’t use any specific ink to do this tattoo I used normal ink, normal colours, normal brands. It’s just the metallic LOOK, I haven’t used metal or UV inks lol
