COR -Professional

Hi everyone, the company I got into requires me to register to the BIR as a professional in general. This is a Virtual Assistant. Question po, I am still currently employed in a local company, and my end date would be October 23. I already started today here in the new company, do I need to register as a mixed income earner? Then, after my resignation do I need to update my COR again as professional in general?

Thanks in advance.

Help please!

I got a COR last November 27,2024 but after that hindi na ako nakapagfile ng anything because I resigned na rin from the agency. I want to set things straight, where do I start? And do I need to hire a bookkeeper or accountant?

Ebir still not working

Hi,

I've been trying to submit 1701Q through ebirforms since Aug 15 but still unable to do so.

Is there anyone who has successfully done so? Also is there any extension since this is their app issue?

I'm also overseas now and unable to go down to file physically.

Tax for JO Gov’t Employee with Part Time Work

Just started working as a JO/COS employee for a state university. I’m about to register for the 3% tax rate.

I received an offer from my previous employer from the private sector for a part-time 1 year output based research project. I am thinking of accepting the offer, so essentially I will be keeping my JO/COS job while having a side gig, but I’m wondering how will I handle the taxes for both? Can I still register for the 3% tax rate knowing that I’ll have additional income?

Sorry for any confusion. Basically I just want to know if I’ll get in trouble in terms of taxes.

TIA!

I made an expense in USD, how can I convert it to PHP for Book of Accounting?

BoA (Book of Accounting) requires PHP to be written in there. I want to know if there's a way to still document this expense in PHP even if the purchase is made in USD?

Yung receipt din kasi in USD. There's no way to convert it into PHP. I saw na kailangan ko pa magpanotarize for this for the BSP/BAP conversion? I appreciate any help if possible po!

How bad is my situation?

Hello!

I'm a recent graduate and just started working full-time earlier this year. My lolo got me a TIN when I turned 18 for inheritance purposes (and it's in an RDO in a province I only go to once a year). I've been working part-time for a professor since 2024 (I have/had a contract of service with them, got paid <250k annually) and have since shifted to a full-time contract since graduating (now I get paid more than 250k annually). Just a few months ago I took on another COS, but from another professor based abroad (and I will get paid in foreign currency). 10% tax is withheld from the honorarium in the domestic COS, but not in the foreign one.

I've never filed and/or registered anything sa BIR, and I don't even know where to start. I don't really know how much I actually owe in taxes and penalties if there are any.

Reimbursement of PRC ID Renewal Fee

Hi all, has anyone here na nakaexperience na magpareimburse sa employer nila ng renewal fee (450php if I am not mistaken) ng PRC ID. How was it?
May ganon with my employer kaso need na ung resibo is nakapangalan sa employer for VAT deductability purposes. When I asked don sa satellite office sa mall, di raw nila alam ung issuance ng receipt, taga-bigay lang daw sila ng ID.
So I sent an email sa PRC (lahat ng email address nila na nakita ko na pwede sendan ng query) kaso wala naman reply.
Thanks!

Hi. Ask lang, may business with no employees. Employer number kahit walang employee.

Tax Consolidation

Sooooo I just joined my latest company and received advise that they will consolidate my income for 2026 but I will have to do the filing with BIR. Explicitly.

Career jumper ako last full calendar year ko sa isang employer was 2021.

Question:

  1. Automatic na ba na I should have been filing since laging 2 employers in a year? Etong current employer ko lang kasi explicitly nagsabi na kailangan ko magfile on my own next year

  2. If I visit my RDO maccheck ko ba ano yung nafile or hindi? How much max penalty?

Will there be any Tax Penalties?

Hello, I started working last year as a Virtual Assistant, and ngayon pa lang na year ako mag-aasikaso ng taxes and BIR registration. The reason I took so long is that I'm not really familiar with filing taxes, and wala din akong time to do all of those things.

The reason I want to fix and file my taxes is to get an ITR ASAP for personal purposes (e.g loans, credit cards, etc.)

My questions are:

  1. Will there be any penalties since hindi po ako nakapag-file ng tax last year?

  2. Do I still need to file taxes for last year?

  3. After a successful BIR registration, can I automatically request an ITR sa BIR?

down pa din ba ang ebir? but di ako makasubmit online?

eBIRForms issue

My client po is in another country and di pa rin po okay ebirforms niya.

Di pa po filed yung ewt and fwt forms niya for month ng july due to the issue ng firewall po.

Thank you in advance.

SEC Business Closure AFS

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hello po, we opened a small stock corporation as part of our thesis for only half a year. we already closed Bir and municipal, we are in the process of closing in SEC

They classified us as part of #2 (as attached) What does no operation mean? Because we were able to sell product and even issue official receipt to customers for 4-6 months then we closed it. Our question: is it right that we fall under #2? Our capital is about Php 60,000. We don't have financial statement that is audited. Arent we supposed to fall under #3?

Mixed-Income

I recently got employed for my first ever job, recently lang din nagka TIN. I'm a fresh grad and hybrid yung work ko so nagka urge ako mag small business and balak ko sana pumasok as grabfood merchant. I reviewed my contract and it says it's not allowed to be affiliated on other work or business na tatama sa working hours ko, but honestly this business is so small and will operate it with my sister din naman. Also, allowed daw if with written consent ng company ko (na magbusiness). Hassle lang for me to get written consent kasi bago pa lang ako. Will my employer know if magfile ako BIR 2303 for my small business?

8% non-VAT freelancer here 😭 Bookkeeper failed to update my invoices since 2024 β€” what should I do now?

if you could please kindly advise me on what to do. since I plan to do my taxes on my own now to cut costs.. salamat po.

From Jan-May, may pinagdaanan kami. Open naman yung business. Nagfifile on time, problema di nagbabayad.
