settings says bluetooth is off when it isnt? this has happened many times (windows 11)
so basically my bluetooth devices randomly disconnect and do not reconnect sometimes. usually i just restart my computer but at this point it seems to be happening more often and its pretty annoying
i just tried turning bluetooth off and on again and i noticed all the devices are stuck on “bluetooth is turned off” whether the setting is on or off
i have antivirus software (mcaffee) and have done several full scans since this started but nothing
another (probably unrelated) issue ive been having is that ill shut down my pc but it actually ends up restarting instead
mcaffee is a virus that tells you its an anti-virus. Get rid of that as fast as you possibly can. just use windows defender. For reference, the rules of this subreddit state that you are not allowed to suggest installing any anti-virus except using built in windows defender, and strongly recommends uninstalling all others. And yes, it is that serious. They just sell your data for moneys and take up system resources to cause conflicts with your real anti-virus.
Moving on, sounds like you have a faulty bluetooth driver or card, you need to open device manager, uninstall the bluetooth driver by right clicking it, checking the box that says remove from system, and hitting uninstall. Then reboot and see if its better.
If its not better, get an external bluetooth dongel for 15-20$ at walmart or amazon, that should be fine if your built in bluetooth card in your mobo has gone bad.
Just right click start button, Device Manager.
Should see something like this.
If you see nothing, then you need to go the the motherboards support page and download it.
If you do not see anything, it could be that the driver has crashed and is not working, and then not showing up as a result. I would just update your bluetooth driver and see how it goes.
Otherwise, grab a cheap dongle and call it a day.
