Hi, I just wanted to see how everyone made friends after HS? Where I live, it’s very bare and difficult to meet teens my age, as our community changed demographically in the last couple of years. Anyway, I do go to CC. Which is not in any way a good place to meet new people, as many are completely different than myself, as they have strong political beliefs and very strong opinions about men. With my job, I only interact with older people, which tell me they ‘have a daughter my age’ etc. but never get to see them. Overall, it’s pretty lonely and I try not to think about it. But it would be nice to meet some new people. I’m also not one to quick add ppl on snap. I like to meet people the ‘natural’ way, in person. Which I know is extremely hard. I even go out day to day to go to the local corner store just in hopes for conversation with someone my age.

So I’m just a bit bored and it would be nice to talk to someone ig? I’m 19F so I’d prefer someone around my age ig 17+ pls😭✋🏽

I’m conducting a short research survey on teen masking, specifically how teenagers may change, hide, or adjust parts of their personality, behavior, opinions, interests, or way of speaking depending on who they are around.

I have previously conducted research with 200+ international responses exploring the prevalence and experiences of this issue. For this next stage, I want to focus specifically on solutions proposed by teenagers themselves rather than simply measuring whether the problem exists.

I’m looking to survey teenagers aged 13–18 from diverse backgrounds. The survey is very short and primarily consists of open-ended questions asking participants what changes, initiatives, or solutions they believe would actually reduce the pressure to change who they are around others.

I have dark skin, and I feel like I don't look good. It hurts inside. No matter how much I tell myself that it doesn't matter and that this is just who I am, the comments still get to me. Because I am a boy, people mock my sensitivity and ask, 'Are you a girl?' They make fun of me to their faces and even mock me in front of their girlfriends, showing me their girlfriends' negative reactions.I have never had a girlfriend, and I don't think I ever will because I am overwhelmed by insecurities and responsibilities. I just wish I could be treated as a human being first, rather than being judged at first glance.I admit I have no sense of style and just wear whatever is available. This probably makes me look worse. I tried to look good in the past, but nothing changed, so I figured it was a waste of effort. I tell people I don't care how I look or what they think, but that is just a defense mechanism. Even though I am a guy, I am sensitive, and sometimes I can't help it. Deep down, people's words really hurt. I just needed a place to vent, so I dumped it all here

Why he hell is it impossible for me to get a GF, LET ALONE go on a SINGLE DATE!?!?

For context, im a 17m

I've been looking for a gf for 2 years now, and I have had no luck. I do my best to look and smell good, act respectful and fun, I am very social and I go out of my way to go random places just to meet new friends and potentially get a date, I have little issue approaching girls and asking for their number,

But still, it's rejection after rejection, I have had girls text me and everything goes great, and then randomly ghost me or say "stop texting me" and I don't even know what i did! I've had girls who i knew for a FACT were single and say they had a BF already. If you're not interested, just say that. You dont gotta lie to me. I've had girls claim their parents disapproved of me. (Which is a fair reason, but it still pisses me off) I have had almost every kind of rejection at this point, and I am getting sick of it. All I wanted was someone to love, care for, and share memories with, and eventually hopefully build a family with. And someone who genuinely loves me and cares for me and I can feel safe and be vulnerable around.
