Good to know, thank you! I've just read a wiki article on polydactyly... It might be it happens more often in North America: "Although there is some controversy over whether the most common variant of the trait originated in the US as a mutation in New England, or was brought there from Britain, there seems to be agreement that it spread widely as a result of cats carried on ships originating in Boston, and the prevalence of polydactyly among the cat population of various ports in North America correlates with the dates when they first established trade with Boston."

I didn't know that polydactyl is less rare. It's just easier to spot these eyes than unusual paws.

She is, indeed! Full of happiness and worries.

Kibble-to-milk machine... Poor stray mom still tolerates her giant kid nursing. Kolkata, India
They look gorgeous, I feel, like, why nobody wants them, why nobody steals them?? But somebody stole my old dusty sandals at hostel... So silly.

India Kibble-to-milk machine... Poor stray mom still tolerates her giant kid nursing. Kolkata, India
It was raining heavily; I was hiding below a bridge and then noticed two charming ticked tabbies hiding under a car. I offered them kibble but the cat mom didn't trust me and stayed under the car despite seeing food 2 meters away from her. The kid was the one who decided to try my treat, and, after hesitating, cat mom joined too.
In image 3, you can see the mom's warm gaze while she was changing my status from "a hostile, potentially dangerous ape" to "a nice person". 😺
The kid actually ate a good portion of kibble too, but then decided to have some milk as well...
She bit him (lovingly) a couple of times - perhaps trying to get him off milk.
3 days ago. I keep exploring Kolkata and its marvelous cats! Stay tuned, dear person! 😎

Alhambra, Granada, Spain Tuxedo Kitty
Not really... Trash is scattered here and there on streets, stray cats tend to search for food in garbage. On busy streets, cats tend to be near rows of roadside stalls selling goods and meals (super dirty, with many rats around) as some people working their give treats to cats. At night, cats can sleep on those stalls or around them. There many abandoned old buildings in Kolkata - some serve as homes for strays.

Beautiful Audrey has mink fur, Bangkok Thailand - temple cat
> a Maine coon cat
Wow, that's rare...
So sad that people abandon cats...

Look at this pattern! By the way, the kibble isn't mine - somebody feeds him. He might be a stray supported by a local cat lover. Kolkata, India
😊 But he is also ticked. Guess he's heterozygous ticked - that's why the pattern is visible.

This old tomcat is a stray who lives at a street intersection but has (as seen in image 3) his own fenced space, a bowl with kibble, and companions. I see him almost daily when I set off for another photo walk in Kolkata, India
No doubt he has experienced everything in his life... And now he's retired, resting all day, meeting old male humans to hang out together - perfect 😃

Urban Park Cat (Tel Aviv, Israel)
Adorable soft, furry, busy-looking tabby! 😺 Thank you for sharing him!

Beautiful cat from Belmonte, Portugal
What an unusual, beautiful coat! 😻 Guess that's a mink (aqua eyes, moderate colorpoint) with white.

4 Tage nach Indien - ja oder eher nein?
I like cooking in a shared kitchen at hostels (I am a traveler, in Kolkata now), just to eat healthier. You can do that too - buy yogurt (curd), paneer, cheese, butter, eggs, veggies, fruits in a supermarket (or order delivery - common in big cities) to cook breakfast and dinner. Lunch - order the safest food at a good restaurant - a pie with potato (aloo paratha) or paneer paratha - it's freshly baked and qiute filling, and not spicy. Eat bananas - there are sold everywhere. Don't eat anything precooked (dahl, stews) to be 100% sure. Avoid all curries - some Western people can have diarrhea just because 1) too much chilli 2) too much dry spices - they put tons! 3) too oily (butter chicken) - a ton of oil.
