Every year, Minnesotan artists submit crop art - masterpieces made entirely of glue and natural materials. I was so tickled to see this one. Congrats to the artist, Sophia! Where are my Minnesotan Wingspan enthusiasts??

I just got Wingspan Asia and while I like the dark red eggs, I thought it would be nicer to put the white eggs from base game in with some custom black ones to lean into the yin yang theme. Does anyone have any tips on how to paint the red eggs black, and what finishes to use to make them feel like the standard egg?

TLDR: Is there a "correct" wooden bird feeder? If not, which would you recommend?

Hey everyone! So my partner LOVES wingspan - it's their favorite game ever. For the longest time, they have wanted a wooden bird feeder to replace the one that comes with the game. We all know that bird feeder gets so bent and hard to use after putting it together and taking it apart time after time.

I want to get them a wooden bird feeder as a gift - I have a lot of other gift ideas, but I feel like this is my strongest one. However, when they've talked about this, I don't know where I got this from, but I thought there was a definitive wooden bird house that was officially licensed with the game. That doesn't seem to be the case, LOL.

I've seen many different options on Board Game Geek - mainly listings from Etsy sellers. Here are my concerns:

- I know a big complaint people have is having to put the dice in the back instead of the back, so I want to make sure either that there isn't a roof or you can take the roof off.

- There are many different options, but the ones on Board Game Geek are on The Broken Token, The Shipshape Gamer, and Meeple Source. I think some of these are the Etsy seller names and some of them are just board game websites advertising them.

- Etsy has become a bit of a mess, what with AI and drop shipping and so many identical listings by different sellers, so I'm not sure who to trust.

It's VERY cute, but you have to glue it and paint it yourself, and I do not trust us to actually have the executive function to do this.

They have a ton of cute accessories, from wooden birds to trading cards, but ngl the bird house I think is a bit ugly :-( Lmk what you think. They have the blue birdhouse and the forest hideaway. This one comes pre-painted, which is for sure a plus.

This one is honestly just a slightly less cute version of Tower Rex's, with the same level of glue and painting required.

I think it's pretty obvious that I think Tower Rex has the cutest one, so do we think I'm just gonna have to bite the bullet and make this a little art project? I know it will possibly stress us out - my partner I would trust more to actually put it together and paint it bc I know it'll look better, but I'm not sure if that makes it less of a gift if I'm making her do work, or if she'd be excited about the project. She's really into digital art and has recently gotten into mixed media, but painting and gluing isn't one of her main things that I'm super aware of.

Does anyone have anymore knowledge on this to share? Ideally if I go with this option I'll be getting this for her pretty soon [especially if it's Etsy, we know how long that can take to ship lol].

I was thinking about if it could be used when there is already a No Goal round, and if that would create 2 extra turns per round for the remaining rounds. Or, what about copying its power with the Rose Ringed Parakeet?

After a few attempts (I think this was the fifth), I finally managed to beat it 😁. Even though it was only on Normal mode, I’m pretty happy about it. The final scores were quite close—77 to 74; I didn't think I could pull it off, but the result speaks for itself. I don't know if 77 is considered a good score, but it's my personal best so far. Anyway, I'm satisfied with it. Let's see if I can beat it again in the next game or if it was just a stroke of luck tonight—we'll see. I hope you're all enjoying your games too! 🙂

Hi all, I own all of the current wingspan content (Base, Europe, Oceania, Asia, Americas, Fan Designed Packs).

I’m headed to the beach and my friends would like to play wingspan. They’ve played a handful on times on BGA/iOS but never IRL. I was planning to bring an Oceania size box with the highlights as there is no way we can get to everything in my Nesting Box. Also, they don’t like the idea of the Oceania board; but perhaps I need to challenge them on that. In the end, I was thinking Base + Americas with the Fan Designed Birds.

Thoughts or other suggestions?

Steam Workshop::Buspan V1

I love playing Wingspan, but almost all of it is done online. I would love to play more regularly in person. I have a group of friends who like the game, but we only meet once a month, and maybe we play it every second time.

I was wondering if there were any game groups in Montreal or Ottawa (or somewhere in between) that regularly play Wingspan or do tournaments. I've looked on Facebook and MeetUp, but everything I've seen is for all games, and while I'm fine with a general gaming group, Wingspan isn't guaranteed to make it to the table.

Isn't this food cost redundant?? The only scenario I can think of where this would be relevant would be in an end of round goal of "total nectar in food cost" but I don't recall a goal like that.

Can y'all think of any other situations where this would matter??

Still a beginner here so I just want to make sure I don't make a misplay. If I discard a work to get an egg, do I have to place an egg on this bird or does this simply mean gain an egg and I can place it anywhere? Thanks in advance!

Designer notes-

You will need 5 d12 dice (blank *I can add a file for that if you need)

You will need action cubes, and eggs (in place for larva)

I didn't design any goal cards for end of round or bonus cards.

Goals-

I want to push the boundaries of moving around on the mat/bugs. I wanted to make something unique that you can move in different directions compared to the traditional left to right or up and down.

This print and play are merely all testing concepts, I know and understand I may have mistaken; but I would love to hear back from you all on how it can improve.
