It seems that liking tweets is now considered "unauthenthic behaviour" for some dumb reason. As always the legitimate users are always the guinea pigs of all the dumb changes that Elon decides to do. And yes I got flagged and my account is suspended, all for doing the same thing I've been doing for several years: Liking art posts on Twitter.

So, I just got an email earlier today that my account got suspended for "inauthentic behaviors". I repealed it, of course, stating I have no idea what they meant by that as I only ever like tweets, sometimes retweeting them. So, what did I do? And how long does it take for the appeal to go through?

There is no appeal because they don't care. The same thing happened to me and I was just liking news headlines. This is why Elon shouldn't design anything ever again.

The same exact thing happened to me over Memorial Day weekend. I appealed it Monday night. Got my account back on Wednesday afternoon. Couldn’t even access my subscription for the 2 days I was technically paying for it. Sucks

Its so annoying, since there was an article about a bunch of accounts that got flagged for the same sort of thing a couple of weeks ago, and that got undone.
And now, the same fucking problem happens again. They are so incompetent.

I am having the same exact issue, and opened up an appeal two days ago now. My immediate suspicion is that the 'inauthentic behavior' is that I don't have a phone number or associated app linked to my account. For the heck of things I checked to see if I could create a new account, and right now it is similarly demanding a phone-linked email or to download the app.
I can check my 'home' feed and individual accounts, but if I click a trending phrase or such, I just get the 'Something went wrong, try reloading' and nothing else.

I recently tried messaging x developer to see if that would work. Some people got replies saying that they should go to appeal system, while only one person had their account looked at.
Try messaging Taycaldwell, who is usually the one to respond on X developer site.

I’m in a really frustrating situation. My X account was permanently put into “read-only” mode. Now I can’t post, repost, like anything, and the message also says I’m not allowed to create other accounts.
I’m an artist, and this account was important to me not just as a social media account, but as a place where I followed other artists, interacted with the art community, and shared things that inspired me. I did repost other artists’ work pretty often, but I wasn’t reposting everything randomly. I mostly reposted art that I genuinely liked or found inspiring.
As far as I understand, X may have treated my activity as bot-like or “inauthentic behavior” because I reposted a lot. But from my side, it wasn’t spam, engagement farming, or any attempt to manipulate the platform. I was just actively interacting with the art community and sharing artwork that I liked.
I’ve already submitted two appeals, but both were unsuccessful. In the reply to my appeal, they said that they reviewed it with their team and concluded that the enforcement action was valid and would not be reversed.
The most frustrating part is that I still don’t know what exactly I violated. They never clearly explained which post, repost, or action caused the restriction.
Has anyone dealt with something similar?
Is there any realistic chance of getting an account back after a permanent read-only restriction?
I’m not trying to bypass the restriction or create a new account, especially since the message clearly says I’m not allowed to. I just want to understand what happened and whether there is any legitimate way to fix this after appeals have already been rejected.

Yeah, it's been a few days for me as well and I've had my account since 2012.
I mostly just read my feed and like posts, I rarely ever reply or retweet anything. The only thing I discuss on Twitter is web development, so my comments aren't even controversial. I don't understand how my account looks inauthentic.

I just logged in, immediatly recieved the mail sayin I was suspended. I retweet NSFW content, so that could be the reason, but I had this account for 3 years or so and it's the first time this happens to me.

That's just what I was thinking. I was mostly just using it for entering contests and watching dog and cat videos. But if this is how it's going to be, I just won't like posts anymore. So ridiculous.

get rid of the unfathomably incompetent AI moderator, it is damaging the credibility of twitter exponentially and has driven a sizable portion of the users away as it pushed restriction after restriction in efforts to force us to pay elon the subscription fee
your AI has suppressed thousands of users, permanently suspended many and preventing them from appealing the decision, the AI is responsible for several illegal behaviours such as deepfakes being used to harass women en masse, generation of children in dumb or dangerous situations, generation of copywrited content that multi billion dollar companies have profusely stated they do not permit and, to top it all off, the AI has absolutely no understanding of context, it uses keywords to punish people and hasn't learned a damn thing about human interactions as a result
bring back human moderators before the ai kills any chance elon has of making back his 40b, which he's obviously desperate for cause he's trying to force everyone to pay for the subscription
age verification definitely should not be locked behind a paywall too, for those of us in australia that not only increases the costs we must put in so as to use an app for its intended purpose but actively prevents us from obeying our own internet safety laws
elon's naivety will be the downfall of twitter for sure

me too, submitted an appeal. Not sure what caused it, liking/reposting something twice maybe? Did nothing automated, wasn't spamming. I suspect mass reports from russian bots or something along these lines..

What the absolute FUCK is going on with this Suspend-Appeal-Suspend-Appeal loop for "inauthentic behavior"?
I got onto Twitter 6 days ago to find I'm suspended permanently for "inauthentic behavior". A bullshit suspension where none of the listed rules their page describes were violated by me. So I appeal it, and after 2 days I get an email saying
Hello,
We have reviewed your appeal request for account, @[redact]
Our support team has determined there was no violation and has restored your account to full functionality.

Cool. I open up twitter and literally within seconds of the page loading I get hit with an email announcing I've been suspended for inauthentic activity AGAIN. I appeal yet again, today I get unbanned again, same email saying I was reviewed and indeed did not actually violate any rules and I was restored. This time I'm not at my PC so I open the app on my phone instead and WOULD YOU BELEIVE IT, within seconds I get another email that I've been suspended for inauthentic behavior.
So what the fuck is "authentic behavior" now? Just NOT opening twitter?

i have the same reason as everybody else... i liked ONE tweet and then i got suspended 😭 i dont post on my twitter that much (plus i privated it) and i just like and retweet stuff i find cool or funny. i hope this gets resolved soon cuz this is just unbelievable

My account was suspended a week or so ago for drumroll, please . . . . . "inauthentic behavior!" Like everyone else lol. My first appeal was rejected, I sent a second appeal which went unacknowledged, and literally a minute after I sent my third appeal I received an email saying my suspension was overturned and is fully functional again only to not be when I went on Twitter lol. I think it's a bit messed up to email me saying I can use my account again only to keep it suspended for an unknown time after the fact :/ Wishing everyone else luck with their suspended accounts.

On Monday, I got my acc suspended. Today at 12.44pm it got restore. After I liked some posts, it got suspended again at 1.44pm. What's wrong with X's AI mod now???

Huh... Well My account was just randomly suspended, then came back instantly when I did the on screen instructions, but now it says I am following 0 people (out of 730 some odd people/companies that I do follow...). X is seriously broken right now...

It's been 5 days since I got my suspension for inauthentic behavior. Just sent my second appeal and haven't received any other emails or updates from them. It just sucks so bad when I started finally using my account to post art and gained a small following.

Got suspended too for the same reason today and I only use Opera's adblocker. I don't think that's it. But I did get the suspension email RIGHT at the same time I had a scheduled post (using Twitter's own scheduling feature) to go up, so that might have triggered it.

Got my account suspended today.
I've had it for around 2 years now and never had any issues.
What's interesting is that I received the email at the exact time I had a scheduled post (using Twitter's own scheduling feature) to go live. It was just an art I had commissioned, not AI, just a regular normal post for me.
So I do think the issue was with some automated thing that was triggered by the scheduled post.

Just today I got suspended for "inauthentic behavior", they weren't really specific on what I did. I quite literally just woke up, scrolled for two hours, and suddenly I got suspended.
It's been a couple of hours now since I sent my first appeal. This isn't my first suspension, so I worry about if my account ever gets appealed.
I'm an artist so I am quite dependent on this account since it's the one with the best engagement compared to other platforms, it's technically my livelihood at this point.
It's frustrating how I got suspended for the same reason yet nothing was given as an explanation for what rule I violated, why, or how long will this last or if this suspension is permanent. The "bot" purge isn't so helping when it hit not just me but friends too on their main and private accounts.

I have the exact same thing!! Its so frustrating, its my first suspension, I opened twitter 2 days ago after waking up and got suspended 2 minutes later because someone reported and after "careful review" (my ass) I was suspended.
I really dont understand this. I appealed twice already and its just crickets. I dont understand how anyone can look at my account (where I post/reply maybe twice a day at most) and have done so for years and can call that "inauthetntic". What does that even mean?
And the most frustrating way is that there is no feedback to appealing. For all I know the appeal they received by me could just be deleted instnatly.

I created a new account, posted nothing, and only did a handful of likes and reposts, and I get notified that my account has been permanently suspended for suspicious behavior. The appeals process got me nowhere, and now I can neither deactivate my account or verify my identity, and this is very frustrating.

I got suspended, had to send in like 3 appeal tickets to get it unsuspended, had to download their stupid app to verify I am a human and they still suspended me again. I submitted 2 tickets and this time they said they aren't going to unsuspend me. I sent in 1 last ticket and if they don't unsuspend me, I am done with Twitter for life.
Fuck whatever Elons dumb ass changed.

Uhh. I was suspended on Twitter on Friday/Saturday last week. Did the appeal process through the website. Woke up today saying I was no longer suspended. I liked one post and IMMEDIATELY was suspended and it says I already have an appeal in the system. Anyone have any luck doing, well, anything to get this fixed?

I sent in an appeal yesterday and no response yet. Best you can do is wait and avoid liking posts when/if you're no longer suspended until the issue is fixed.

All I ever use twitter for is following artists and liking/reposting them the same way that Tumblr image curation worked. Didn't even mass spam in anyway. This was, apparently, enough to get a suspension for "Inauthentic Behavior". Managed to get access to my account yesterday, then liked a single post today--BOOM, another suspension.
Meanwhile random bluechecks still spam everywhere and places they have no relation to. Completely ridiculous.

How do you know if they actually rejected the appeal or if it's just in the limbo? I didn't recieved a ticket number or a mail confirming they recieved my appeal, just a screen that said that my appeal was sent.

I got hit with the mysterious Twitter suspension about 4 days ago as well, but in a appeal once I noticed the suspension, but nothing has happened yet, I guess I will put in another appeal to get unsuspened as well.
All I do with my Twitter account is chat with friends, reply to people posting "If you remember this, you are this old" or "do you remember this?" and technology posts. And upvote whatever I see in my timeline that looks neat.
I guess the AI thought I was a bot or breaking the rules or something.
Thanks Twitter for allowing AI to moderate your platform, I guess.

Going on almost six days with my account being suspended. I did get an email saying that the support "team" wouldn't restore my account, but also told me to log in and follow instructions (that don't exist) to restore functionality? IDK what's going on anymore. I also tried requesting my personal information in hoped of getting a few of my follows back on my alt, but it's been a few days and I haven't gotten anything.

My account has the bug suspension & despite sendin multiple tickets and getting the automated answer that it was a mistake and the account got restored, it just never gets restored, not even for a second....
As far as i can see this has been a major world-wide x issue for a while, but since they don't offer any sort of actual suppor through the proper channels, i just came here to see if i can get any luck.

Is there anything we can do to get a account back? A number to call? Someone to contact? I wont lie, I'm addicted to the memes of twitter and got hit with "inauthentic behaviors". I got a decade of stuff on twitter, friends, family, etc. I'm so desperate I'll even give them my ID at this point.

You have to appeal and wait for support to get their heads out of their asses and actually respond to the appeals. Been personally waiting for over 24 hours for a response, tried making another appeal this morning but got a message saying I have to wait for a response to the first one.

I liked 3 tech news posts in my notifications this morning, went to vote in my local election and came back to a suspension for "inauthentic behavior" on an account I've had since 2007. I appealed, and it was immediately denied. I did like some posts critical of Elon last night. Is he perhaps training the AI to just suspend anyone who criticizes him now? I'm careful never to retweet or comment on posts like that, but seriously...

Doubtful. I talk shit about him on the regular and have never even gotten a nastygram over it.
I think they're trying to use some Grok-based agent to automod content, and it's doing a really, really shitty job. LLMs are TERRIBLE at this sort of thing, as much as the tech industry really doesn't want to admit it.

All I get when I appeal is an automated response. Is there really no way to contact a human directly for appeals? Its getting tiring to try and unsuspend my account. I have been using it since 2017.

Reposting this from last month's thread -- had my twitter account of 12 years suspended for 'inauthentic behavior' after liking a few posts four days ago.
...the only recent thing I can think of that actually might have been marked as 'inauthentic behavior' is reporting a bunch of accounts that were doing the "contact <person> on X and he'll get you sorted out" phishing scam on someone complaining about being banned from another website. :/
I submitted an appeal, but I haven't received a response yet.
EDIT: Update: I received a response to my appeal and it said the following:
Hello,
We have reviewed your appeal request for account @Etamalgren.
Our support team has determined that a violation of our Rules did take place, specifically:
Violating our Rules against inauthentic behaviors.
We considered the additional information provided and decided an overturn of our original decision is not warranted in this case. Therefore, we will not overturn our decision to lock your account.
In order to restore account functionality, you can resolve the violations by logging into your account and completing the on-screen instructions.
When I go onto twitter to see these on-screen instructions, nothing happens. I see I have a new notification, but when I click on it to see what it is, it says something amounting to "Your account is suspended and not allowed to do that action."
I submitted a new appeal about five minutes ago, going line by line in the inauthentic behaviors rule and explaining that I didn't do anything that fell afoul of the rules, with the one exception (manually reporting a large volume of posts and/or the same account multiple times) being explained as being covered by reporting in good faith.
INSTANTLY after filing that second appeal, I get an e-mail saying that my account was restored, but, no, my account is still suspended.
This sucks. (EDIT 2: ...removed the language, just in case.)
EDIT 3: The only other unusual thing I can think of that happened before I got booted off of Twitter was that the night before I got banned, I had briefly browsed Twitter on the mobile phone app and kept seeing posts from accounts I didn't want to see (sports betting apps, Kalshi, etc.), so I'd go ahead and block them. Every time I blocked one, even ones that weren't properly marked as ads, the app would throw up a "Hey! Want an ad-free experience? Try Twitter Premium!" dialogue box that I kept closing out of.
...maybe I got banned out of spite for pushing that box away like ten times in a short span?

The night before i was suspended i also did a few reports on spam accounts - they were porn bots mostly. I also had to flag a guy who had some threats toward women as well as what looked like beaten and dead bodies. I did however get on site after doing all that and liked a post about AI data centers and a thing about saving some land in the amazon - then bam i am hit with the suspension.

Something definitely fucked up the site if it's suspending people for simply liking posts.

I have a rant account, where I was browsing the timeline and liking some tweets when I suddenly came across a message saying "your account is suspended and you were not authorized to perform this action". I swear I don't understand why this happened. Then I came here to the sub and felt a little more relieved to realize I'm not the only one going through this.

Yep, I got it restored. And then I got instantly banned 5 minutes later the moment I replied to a post for the first time. Then I appealed again, once again got restored and then I got instantly rebanned when I bookmarked something.
The system is fucked, they vibecoded their shitty AI moderator.

I tried sending another appeal explaining that my account appears as suspended, but it can't be sent, since it shows that my previous appeal is being studied..., its confused, I decided to wait and see if they answer or actually restore my account, as the support already decided that I didn't do anything.

Apparently i'm such a bored loser twitter decided to suspend my account for "inauthentic behavior".
Like, no. I'm not a bot. I'm not an AI. Bookimarking and retweeting 50 anime girls in a span of 15 - 20 minutes isn't automated. It's pure love of the game.
edit: Sent an appeal. Waiting for response. I just want to scroll through pictures of my waifus (and Kirino). This sucks.
Also had to delete and repost because the comment got removed for some reason? I'm assuming it was the language. Removed the bad words.

I mean, it's worthless and could create another account, but I had that account for years and is followed by a few of my favourite NSFW artists.

For the last two years I was not posting anything. I was actually doing nothing. I was scrolling, liking and sending posts to my friends. I wasn’t posting anything. It’s not even a public account.
But a few minutes ago I opened the app and saw that I was suspended. I don’t know what to do. I submitted an appeal and also sent an e mail but I don’t think that would help.

Why is it so difficult to send a confirmation email or any kind of follow up via email? Why do I have to keep going back to the appeal page and fill out a captcha just to check if I can submit a new appeal or not? Better yet explain what "inauthentic behavior" I was fucking doing?

So far I've sent in 6 appeals after getting banned for inauthentic behavior. I've only gotten two emails, one saying that the appeal was denied and one saying that it was accepted despite still being banned. Sems like my 14 year old account is permanently gone.

My account was suspended in May of this year, thing is that I haven't really done much but to like posts, repost stuff I like and save in my bookmarks the things I consider important to me, the problem is that even though I have complaint to the X Support multiple times, I have received emails saying that my account should be back by now (which it actually isn't). It's been two months of complains where I have barely received any response from X Support.
Today, I asked again for my account to be brought back by the X and yet, I got the same response from them. For what I saw, I'm not the only one that has to go through the same thing but I'd like for some help to recover this account that didn't break any X law.
X's A.I. sucks when it accuses you of some unauthentic behaviors and when you complain, the only response you get is "Oh! Sorry, it was a mistake, your account should be restored now" (and it isn't)

The issue of Mass Suspension of actual accounts due to bad bots due to "inauthentic behavior" and the appeal loop from an even worse ai in the help center, saying your account is restored when it isn't is frankly appauling
Also, I happened to notice this bit in rule two
"Remember, AI can make mistakes and mods may still remove content for reasons other than those listed"
And yea the AI sure is capable of making mistakes THOUSANDS OF TIMES AND SUSPENDING ACCOUNTS FALSELY AND THEN OUTRIGHT LYING IN EMAILS AND NOT RESTORING ACCOUNTS DESPITE SAYING OTHERWISE
Twitter/X needs to fix this before it spreads further, and they getting rightfully called out or trashed for it because this is only going to make EVERYONE hate them for good damn reason

i have a private account in which no one follows me and i just use to follow and like posts from artists i like. it got suspended for no reason, i sent FOUR different appeals of which only the first one was rejected and the later 3 were approved. i was told my account was "restored with full functionality" but it is still suspended, all my follows are gone and i can't like or save any posts. completely ridiculous

Twitter is probably doing me a great favor by suspending my account for "Violating our rules against inauthentic behaviors." They said my account was "reported" (of course they will never say by whom),
I appealed (not quite sure why). What gets me is the shear amount of engagement farming, bots, and spamming going on and twitter is worried about me and my couple of hundred followers and less than 9000 posts.

There was even a banner at the bottom of the page saying to "keep it up, liking tweets will show you more like them". I filed an appeal so I guess I have to play the waiting game again.

My account got suspended for "inauthentic content" about five days ago. I woke up this morning to see my appeal had worked and I was now unsuspended. Opened up the app, saw a Tweet from someone I like and liked that as my first thing being back on, and then immediately an email came in saying I had been reported and suspended for "inauthentic content" again. I don't know if someone had just falsely reported me as inauthentic and re-reported me when I got back before I got on or if it was actually just liking that persons' Tweet that has whatever unholy bot Twitter has on detection duty flag me, but like, what do I even do at this point? I went to appeal again and it says my last appeal is still in queue, so I'm not even certain what's going on.

I'm scared its a random mass suspension since the moderation is run by brain dead AI. Your other accounts are only at risk of random chance but I'm not fully sure. This morning, I was quickly scrolling through my news feed when my account was suspended for “inauthentic behavior.” On this account, which is private and doesn’t use a VPN, I do nothing but follow accounts related to my interests and like a few posts... I’ve never posted on this platform. I appealed, and tonight I was told that they had reviewed my request but hadn’t changed their decision:
“We have reviewed the additional information you provided and have determined that there is no reason to reverse our initial decision in this case. Our decision to lock your account therefore remains unchanged. To restore your account's functionality, you can remove the violations by logging in and following the on-screen instructions.”
The reasons they gave regarding the authenticity of their support page make no logical sense in relation to my suspension... maybe it’s related to the control-panel-for-twitter extension or ublock ? I use it to browse without the censorship that I can’t get removed on my PC. But I’m not sure—their message mentions instructions, but there’s nothing there... It’s just as ridiculous as when Meta permanently banned my accounts, telling me I was a bot... So now, between losing Twitter and Meta, I have zero access to comic book news sources because French publishers almost never send out newsletters and are only active on those platforms...

Oh wow, I think you got instructions for when an account gets suspended for a specific tweet and they ask you to delete it. Except... "inauthentic behavior" bans aren't that at all. You can try to appeal again, though it's so chaotic right now that I wouldn't expect anything soon. Even if you get unbanned, you might be immediately re-suspended for no reason.

About a week or 2 ago my account had a temporary flag placed on it for "bot-like" activity or something along those lines. I don't spam posts directly from my account, all I generally do it like and retweet fanart and on occasion comment on something. I gave it time, even did the "no account activity for 48 hours" thing, I even upgraded to a verified paid account, and I still have ZERO reach with anything I post directly from my account, and any comment I make instant disappears on other people's threads to the point it isn't even in the spam section. Is there some fix for this, a way to appeal the flag to "Support", or is it a waiting game for it to go back to normal?

I also got the "inauthentic behavior" thing. Been experimenting with it and it seems liking or following too many post or people too quickly triggers it. Created new accounts at a local public wifi. One account only like no follow, banned immediately. Another account follow + bookmark no likes, also banned after 1 day. Another account that is view only, no like, bookmarks, or follows, not banned.

I somehow violated the rules for inauthentic behavior even though I just constantly like a lot of posts and specifically search for a character that I like and immediately like posts about them and follow artists, which probably was enough to flag me as a bot, even though I'm not like I don't even comment as well, but that's just speculation on my part because they don't even give me or show me the actual thing that led to this apart from them emailing me saying I got banned for inauthentic behavior, but anyway it's been a week now and the response I keep getting after sending appeal after appeal is that they won't overturn it but that I should log in to my account and follow the on-screen instructions so that I can resolve the violations so that gave me a little bit of hope. Now the problem here is I went to my account, and there are no on-screen instructions apart from recommending me to send an appeal. This just doesn't make sense to me, and it's really frustrating, and I am really devastated because I have had this account for years now, and I had a lot of things bookmarked there that I thought would be important. I just want help to get my account back, so if any of you guys have experienced this before and resolved it, please tell me how. I would like to know, thanks.

Is there a way to actually get in contact with a human for support? I can't access my account from 2018 because when I log in with username and password, I'm prompted to reset my password before signing in. However I found out that Twitter deleted my email address from my account (when I try to sign in with my email, it says this email is not registered yet), which means I can't use the Forgot password function because I have no way to receive the reset pw link.
I've submitted multiple tickets, but they always get an instanteous automated response, "We weren’t able to locate an account with the username you mentioned, or affiliated with the email address you’re using. As of our most recent review, that username is available on X. You can claim it by signing up for a new account." but my old profile is clearly still visible when I go to the URL, AND it doesn't allow me to create a new account with my old username (because the old username is obviously still in use).

I've been spamming that nikitabier dude (one of the few human employees remaining at twitter). He and Elon are definitely aware of the issue, but they're ignoring it. Got banned and read-only for unauthentic behaviors for no reason on monday. They refused my appeal. They refuse to let me download my personnal data (which IS illegal). If I don't get either the account or the data I WILL sue them for GDPR violation though
I create a new account and it stay rate-limited and stop me for doing more than 2 tweets a day. Yeah thanks very cool. I hate this fricking social media

Hi! Got suspended for no reason. They claimed inauthentic behaviour, except I wasn't online at the time, I was asleep! And when after several days the rules for that finally properly loaded, it claimed what counts is "impersonating" which I didn't do (unless you count having a k-pop pfp?? Which I can't change while suspended) or "AI" (which is HILARIOUS since Elon is such an AI fanboy???). I never used AI for anything, least of all twitter. I don't even use their grok shit, I'd rather copy paste a tweet into google translate atp.
At the MOST I could be accused of using two accounts, but one of them is for a business. Besides, again, even Elon has several accounts that we know of, so ????? The first appeal didn't go through, they still claim I violated the rule, without further instruction. At the bottom it said I can fix it by following instructions on screen when logging in, but the only instruction is "You're suspended, feel free to appeal."

I got flagged for" inauthentic behavior" Over a week ago. And I tried appealing multiple times and eventually I got an email saying that my account has been restored but its been a day and my account is still suspended. I tried appealing again and I got the same email. And nothing changed. Then I appealed for another time. And the same response. But then I noticed something. The response was near instantaneous. Like they were trying to hide their incompetence of this cardboard solution.

Update to my original post: I am still banned four days after my second appeal. I submitted a third appeal right now and, sure enough, instantly got another "You're unsuspended!" e-mail. I'm still suspended. This is some kind of sick joke or something. :/
...I suppose at the very least I know they're receiving the appeals, since I tried to do a fourth appeal after to point out that I'm getting instant responses that don't actually do anything, but it said something amounting to "wait for your previous appeal to be checked out first".
EDIT: I filed another appeal today (6/13/26) at 2:02 AM local time. Sure enough: "Your account has been restored!" reply INSTANTLY... account still suspended.
EDIT 2: Filed yet another appeal today (6/17) at 3:40 PM local time. Instant automated "Restored!" reply. Still suspended.
EDIT 3: Filed another appeal on 6/21, instant automated "unsuspended!" reply, still suspended. I'm tired, boss.
EDIT 4: Filed another appeal on 7/2, instant automated "Um, ackshually, you violated the rules." reply. ...well, at least it's something new, but clearly their automated systems aren't working right...

Has anyone successfully recovered an X (Twitter) account after receiving the following response from support?
After being locked out due to 2FA, X Support asked me to log in with my username and password so they could verify ownership. I followed their instructions and replied to them but eventually received: "Unfortunately, we're unable to verify you as the account holder and cannot assist you in accessing the account."
The account is from around 2010, and I can literally say my reposts , profile pictures and other activities of mine. This is too disappointing to lose account for no reason.
Has anyone received this response and later managed to regain access? If so, what worked?
Any advice would be appreciated.

I'd be fine using twitter search even though it's trash now but it keeps rate limiting me because I'm searching for tweets by date. How long is it supposed to take between receiving the email that states my suspension has removed and the account actually getting unsuspended? Got hit with some kinda banwave last week and have gotten 2 successful appeals but my account is still suspended a week later. How long is this supposed to take?

literally what is going on ?? yesterday TWO of my accounts i’ve had for over two years were suspended for “inauthentic activity.” i got two emails being notified of such, and realized i was suspended at the exact same minute. i was steadily active on both of them, my activity stayed roughly the same for two years.
fast forward today, around an hour ago i decided to reinvent an account i had had for a few months into a new account. i thought this would be fine considering on this account i would tweet something on it 1-3 times a month or so. nope! suspended within 30 minutes. i had made a single tweet.
by this point i’m extremely confused and frustrated, so i start checking if i have any accounts that haven’t been suspended yet. just to realize an old account i haven’t tweeted on, or ever logged into in well over six months was also suspended for “inauthentic activity”. am i ip banned or something? 😓

I can't see any quotes on posts. every time I try to load them it shows an error message. been happening all day and it's so weird.

UPDATE: I got my account back! I waited a few days after the second suspension and appealed again, and the suspension was lifted almost immediately. I'm going to avoid liking any posts for a while (as ridiculous as that is) and hope it stays unsuspended.
My account also got suspended for "inauthentic behavior" which looks like is happening to a lot of people. They didn't say what post or action caused the violation.
Got a response to the first appeal say they unsuspended me, but then the next morning I got another email saying they suspended me again! So frustrating. And I can't submit another appeal because they say I already have an appeal in progress.

i used a script to remove all of my likes en masse... looks like it worked, except when i go to my likes page a lot of tweets show up but the heart isn't filled in?

Repeated account locks many days apart for daring to speak about US involvement with Israel in ANY critical capacity.
You must not question the holy war.
Post / comment > cloud flair check > account lock > instant unlock on appeal > your voice has zero "reach" because you got locked.
I'm not asking anything, just letting the reader know what is.
Don't pay money to have your voice snuffed.

had a verified X account that I had been posting on for years and built up a nice following.
Unfortunately, it was hacked and later suspended. Since the hacker somehow changed my recovery email and phone #, support tickets automate to tell me there is nothing they can do. (Because the email/# I submit is no longer associated with the account)
I have been trying for weeks to get in touch with someone at X. Unfortunately, this company has no support and no way to talk to anyone. I’ve tried 20+ posts tagging people, connecting with people on LinkedIn who work for X, submitting more tickets, and more.
Any advice how to get in touch with someone who works for this company?

hello! i updated my age on my account from 1960 something to the actual thing 2006 and i got an email saying my account is locked. when i pressed get started to get my account back, because im freaking 20, i got an error. when trying to log in using my username or email, it says there s no account associated with those. when trying to submit a ticket, i couldnt find anything where i could actually write my problem and had to choose one of the three options being i forgot my password, i have a problem with my authentificator app or i think my account has been hacked. the hell do i do, i dont fit into these categories and i cant get it to do something else

Just like everyone in here, got banned for "inauthentic behavior" despite twitter having my literal passport in their database back when I bought premium cuz also got banned for something similar. I applied for appeal, but I assume its a dead end? 😞
My account is from 2012 and I have been actively using it to like posts/comment on stuff. I really don't want to lose so many memories just like that on a whim. Any suggestions?:(

I appealed, got an email back saying they wouldn't reverse the decision. Hopefully you have better luck.

Age verification is fucked and it's annoying. I keep getting an error when I try and even when it does work, it resets if I close twitter. I shouldn't even have to do this. It's invasive and I already did this ages ago so why is it asking me again now?!

I deactivated my account like an hour ago and now im trying to reactivate but every method of logging in (email, phone number, username) is telling me there is no associated account. Is there a way I can talk to a human or contact them at all besides that useless "contact us" page, or is my account just gone forever? It seems like im not the only person who had this issue.

My account has been suspended for 3 months now, cuz a hacker got my account and spammed scammy stuff, I got the account back and deleted everything, but got suspended :/
I sent like, 20 appeals now.
I get an immediate reply saying "Your account is restored" and nothing happens..
Is there a way out of this?

My account has been restored to its previous status before the 'inauthentic behavior' suspension happened 5 days ago, even though I didn't receive any notification via email or X. My likes and follows are back, which is all I care about.
