My account was suspended on August 17 for “inauthentic behaviors.” I appealed multiple times and kept getting the same rejection, saying X had determined that a violation did occur.

Today, I submitted another appeal, but instead of re-explaining everything again, I focused on the fact that X kept telling me to complete “on-screen instructions” that literally weren't there:

I cannot resolve an alleged violation while my account is locked. No on-screen resolution or verification instructions are available when I log in, and I have not been given a specific activity to correct. Please manually review the activity that triggered this enforcement and restore access so I can comply with any corrective action required.

At 5:26 PM, I got this:

“Our support team has determined there was no violation and has restored your account to full functionality.”

💀

So after repeatedly telling me a violation occurred, X ultimately reversed the decision and said there was no violation.

I have no idea if the wording itself made the difference, but this was the appeal immediately before my account was restored. If you're stuck in the same loop, it may be worth pointing out exactly what X is telling you to do that you literally cannot do while locked.

I just want my account back. Years of posts just gone. Done every version of appeal under the sun. Just ridiculous. Took a break from appeals for like a month just for it to make no difference. When I appeal it's just instant rejection.

Reading here, lots of people can appeal to restore their accounts for unauthentic behaviour, even if only temporary.

But is there a way to solve the "Let's confirm you're human" loop?

For example I still have this issue after weeks, yesterday I tried again

-login

-verification code in email, successful

-captcha on X.com successful

-trigger the let's see you're human

-X demand to download app

-refuse, I contact again the support

- to send the appeal, I have to pass 3 captcha

-3 captcha successful "we know you're human"

-login, again "let's see if you're human"

Someone found a way to fix this?

So i got my account got banned on July 27th for inauthentic behaviour but like many others in here, I didn't violate any rules. I'm an artist who posts a lot and engages with fellow artist and then out of nowhere, they suspended. Sent like 5-6 appeals so far but these automated messages are pissing my off. Like there's no way to get a human to look over this :/

I have a question, X keep suspending my accounts without telling me why or anything, and I keep making new accounts but since the X website got taken down, I am unable to make new accounts. Everytime I do it on the app, it’s say some like “Your device is not eligible to create a new account at this time”. Drop your suggestions below.

I didn’t even get an inauthentic behaviour email. It was a random night just march 22nd and I suddenly got banned as I was planning to open twitter.

Since I lost my Twitter I haven’t recieved a single commission, not to say I had any significant amount of commissions back then but Twitter was the only account and the main account for me to promote my stuff other than Instagram

About a week and a half ago, my account was locked due to inauthentic behaviour as many have recently. At first, it said I was to "perform a challenge" and then immediately redirected me to a page which would be blank for around a minute and then load to tell me I have attempted to log in too many times, even on the first try. I have just submitted my third appeal and I just really don't know how to fix this. I use the web version and cannot download the app, so I don't know if I have any way of fixing it. It also will not allow me to log out (the button that says "log out" at the top during the blank screen is completely useless and will not work) so I cannot create a new account. Please, if anyone could help me fix this it would be appreciated so much.

Like many I've seen post here, about 10 days ago my twitter account got hit with some type of verification requirement.

Unfortunately, no matter what I try, it seems impossible to pass the QR code / hand challenge. Since I have a technical background and some QA experience, I thought I'd share a few things.

First, as many have noted, when you get the QR code page, nothing - even the logout button does anything. Whoops, when such basic functionality is broken it doesn't give much confidence.

Attempt #1:

* scan the QR code with a phone with latest iOS.

* Safari opens, and gets stuck in a cloudflare verification loop

* Solution: open the safari settings and de-select "Prevent Cross Site Tracking" -- this at least lets the process continue a bit farther

Attempt #2 (after setting change):

* scan the QR code with a phone with latest iOS.

* Safari opens, cloudflare eventually verifies, a twitter web login page opens

* log in with twitter credentials, I also had to verify an email code

* you reach a page titled "Confirm you're a human" with a button "Verify with App Clip"

* clicking the button does nothing, I am permanently stuck here... no error message, no hourglass indictator, not even the hand challenge. I'm guessing this is a bug trying to install their "app clip", which after some digging I understand is a weird partial app that iOS supports, but is so rare that developers probably shouldn't be using. I have no idea how to diagnose the issue further, and I'd class as a bug.

Attempt #3 (this morning):

* scan the QR code with a phone with latest iOS.

* Safari opens, cloudflare eventually verifies, a twitter web login page opens

* enter twitter username or email

* permanently stuck with an hourglass indicator and it didn't even ask for password, or email code. This seems like a bug or server error, but the user experience is terrible.

Attempt #4:

* abandon the QR code route and just install the iOS X app - the full thing

* login with twitter credentials and verify an email code

* reach a page that actually does allow the hand verification

* its pretty difficult to actually do this; sometime the hand doesn't align just right, sometimes the green dots wouldn't actually connect even though my fingers were moving properly.

* I did this challenge, connecting the green dots successfully, at least 5 times - each of those times I got an error message: "Verification failed. Please try again. Session expired. Please start over."

* currently stuck here with no clue how to proceed. Seriously, this is so hard to begin with, and they added an extremely short time window?

I kind of get their desire to eliminate bots, but rolling out a presumably vibe coded workflow that doesn't even work and has multiple unrelated kinds of failure modes... WTF???

After still being ghostban for almost a week and half, i went to see my account from my alt and my posts seems to be unavailable. I clicked on Learn More, the Help Centre says all this? My post was neither deleted nor my account was deactivated ?????? Should I delete these posts that are unavailable? Will it help in having my Ghostban lifted?

The lack of “temporary” is making me nervous. idek what post could have possibly caused it. i was just qrt a thread when it came up. has anyone had any luck just waiting it out or is appealing by buying premium the only way?

My account's been suspended for "inauthentic behavior" for the second time. All I ever do is fave and repost art from artists I follow, so there's no reason I should have been suspended.

I usually use Firefox with the highest privacy settings (Strict), which I assume the system flags as "Inauthentic Behavior". My account was suspended for this before, but I managed to appeal it.

Unfortunately, it happened again a couple of weeks ago and now the system just rejects every single appeal the second I send it. They give the reason being: "We considered the additional information provided and decided an overturn of our original decision is not warranted in this case. Therefore, we will not overturn our decision to lock your account." despite not reading it...because the system just denies it regardless.

I've submitted multiple appeals, setting the privacy to default, trying to word it differently, sending it from my phone, nothing works. The last one I sent was 5 days after the previous rejection, but I guess that's too soon if its a time based thing.

How am I supposed to appeal if they wont even read it?

i am getting rejection email for my appeal in less than 2 sec after i am done counting rocks everytime. also has X released any statement related to this officialy?

It's been 3 weeks since someone entered my account, and activated 2FA. Support answered quickly saying my e-mail wasn't changed even though I received a message it was. Been waiting for ages, and now this message "you're on the queue" stopped appearing when I try to make another appeal. Does that means they removed my ticket? My account still there, I can see, I can interact with from another account, but can't acess.

• Hello. I made a mistake regarding my old account deletion timer. I logged into my new account [Cezarcheto] 2 days before the 6-day deletion countdown of my old account finished. My new account got banned because of this 2-day overlap. I cannot reply to the email because it closes. Could an admin please look into my ticket? Thanks!

If I were to create an entirely new account with a different email address… would things still be the same? Thanks
