12.5ā Volquartsen Summit.
Rugged Oculus
Grey Birch Chassis
Ive got an athlon 4x14x44 because I thought I was gonna be some 200y plinker but im kinda over the weight, interference with the charging handle, and eye box. While its cool to see that far its not practical and I want it off. I still want some magnification but not a optic that weighs more then the gun lol. I picked out the arken lh6 and the strike eagle, both come in around the same price. What other options and opinion do you guys got.

I know they got bought a year ago. Their 10/22 barrels seem to be getting harder and harder to find. I can't find an 18" Bull (fluted would be preferred) threaded anywhere right now.
Is Fedderson my best alternative? Not willing to go up to Kidd at this time.

Not knocking the Fireswitch at all, it's fantastic based on the two minutes I spent testing it. However, I wanted the Fireswitch specifically for the dual action due to some hand issues I have and ironically, it now makes using the bolt lock very difficult for me. I probably should have realized it would do this before I bought it. Of course, Tandemkross also makes an extended bolt lock that solves this issue but I was wondering if there were any other options out there.

Just got my first 10/22! Itās a model 32000. Iāve already got a n extended mag release and threw my red dot and Magpul fore grip on there. Iām planning on getting the volquartsen extractor, firing pin, and recoil buffer. I already have a precision rimfire so Iām just using this for fun at the range and high volume shooting. Any other upgrades you guys think I need, and any recommendations for bigger mags that are more reliable than bx-25?

What I consider a budget build compared to others here! I was finally able to get the stock Iāve been looking for. Theyāve been out of stock everywhere Iāve looked online and in store for at least a year. I think this is my half way point for a budget build. Any suggestions feel free to comment!!
- Stainless amazon auto release plate
- Amazon extended mag release lever
- Weaver see-thru scope rings
- Magpul FDE stock
- Vortex Triumph HD scope

Just wondering if there is some sort of adapter to cover this skinnier gap between suppressor and barrel, or if should just get a suppressor cover and quit worrying about it. Thanks!

Looking to build out my 10/22 for general plinking and small game hunting with most shooting being done at or under 150 meters.
Main ammo will most likely be Federal black pack as I have a few thousand rounds on hand that I use in my arās .22 conversion kit.
Question is - given the fact that Iām not regularly shooting match ammo, are any of these upgrades a waste? I have a bad habit of convincing myself I need everything all of the time lol. Still want a nice reliable and accurate rifle but donāt want to spend for the sake of spending if there is going to be no noticeable gain.
Build list:
- Feddersen 16in fluted barrel
- Magpul hunter stock
- Moon Duck tune up kit
- v block
- cross pins
- take down screw
- Moon Duck bolt stop buffer
- Moon Duck ejector
- Kidd trigger job
- Kidd auto bolt release
- Kidd extended mag release
- Kidd magazine latch plunger
- Kidd hammer strut assembly
- Kidd extractor
- Kidd firing pin
- Kidd charging assembly
- Dead air can
- glass tbd

Trying to put together a build list for my newly purchased 10/22 while itās still in jail. I want to build a bug out/survival gun and an AR-style MLOK handguard would add a ton of flexibility to the rifle.
Probably overkill for what will probably end up being a range gun but I wanted to see what options are out there outside of the highly recommended Midwest Industries Chassis (pictured above).

I went to look for one today and saw the news that half a year ago they seemed to have been discontinued. There were reports it was a refresh. Did that ever happen?

Bx-25ās gave me so many problems, just now learning about the problem with them. Love the gun

Still very new to the 10/22 platform and all its different variants. Iām looking at picking up a Ruger Charger and was curious what exactly this back plate is for. Is it meant for mounting something, or does it serve another purpose?
Still learning my way around these, so any help or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Looking to get some portable steel reactive targets for the son, ideally squirrel and rabbit shape and size
There are so many options out there, don't know what is crap and what is good.
Ideally stuff i can keep in the trunk, lightweight, etc
What do you use??

Just posted in here like an hour ago and here I am, back with another question.
Is there a major difference between the internal components sold by companies like Kidd, volquartsen, moonduck, and others?
Iām not talking things like barrels and triggers, but things like the extractor, firing pin, bolt release, and bolt buffer, and others.
From your experience, is there going to be a huge jump in the quality and outcome on my rifle?

Is buying a Kidd (or equivalent) bolt a far better upgrade than just putting their upgraded extractor/firing pin in my stock Ruger bolt?
For context, Iām just a regular guy - not building a comp rifle nor do I care about sub moa type groups at 100 yards. Just building something I can take in the woods and mess around with, but want something nice, reliable, and have a knack for spending money lol.
For my use case, and just for my knowledge in general, is the extra money on the entire bolt going to have a noticeable change to the rifle?

So, I spent months last year working on getting the ART system to function reliably, and even at its most reliable I was having issues that required perfect trigger technique for function... Got me thinking, if I could make a way for it to be more technique based than forced mechanics based, I could avoid dead triggers mid dump. So, I designed a multi piece prototype utilizing spring tension in between the bolt and the trigger. My design relies on technique and is 100% semi auto without practice while still allowing for mag dumps in the 3-4 second range, I am planning on setting up to produce these in quantity in the near future. Here is a vid of my latest version, which works damn well.
