Back when PKing first came out, the concept of a Runescape content creator didn't exist, nor did the KBD or KQ.

  • The Wilderness was released in August 2001.
  • KBD was released in September 2002.
  • KQ was released in September 2004.
  • YouTube didn't launch until 2005 and Twitch didn't launch until 2011. What platform are you imagining Runescape content creators using in 2001?

So there was even less content In the game other than pking. It’s like this game was created around the wilderness existence.

No the wilderness was created to split pve and pvp and make it a choice as before it you could kill players anywhere and you could only bank coins. if you chose a non player killer you could never attack or be attacked by a player at all

Maybe not 2001, but by 2004 (RS2 release) players were making pk videos, uploading them to file sharing sites like mega upload, and posting their videos to Zybez/Runescape community fourms
