Squeebles for the basic rundown were these maths games (I mean really young maths games like for 4 year olds) and I’ve kind of had them just sort of pop into my head again, I mainly remember playing the shit out of the Addition/Subtraction game back in primary school and grinding to get every single one that shit was my Pokémon before Pokémon (a core memory of primary school was when a class at I had got every single one on Addition/Subtraction)

And apparently they’re still making new ones to this day, which is news to me.
