Trigger question for prodigy 3.5 inch
So I'm replacing my trigger with a red dirt trigger. My question is, does it benefit me at all on performance to also replace the sear with the EGW Prodigy Gunsmith Short Hard Sear? Or is that something you only want to do if you're trying to adjust the trigger pull weight?

When you say "benefit me at all on performance", what do you mean?

That's what it says on the webpage lol. So that is actually a good question. I've did some work on Glocks and other type of guns. But I have never did much work on 1911s or 2011s. So what some of this does it still a question for me. As far as performance. I just assumed it was a better maid sear than the factory?

If you’re swapping sears, you’ll probably want a new hammer that’s matched to the sear and a new safety to fit to the sear.
If you want to improve the performance, just buy the egw ignition kit which comes with a matched hammer and sear. It’ll help you avoid headaches. You’ll still, probably, need a new safety. Safer to fit a new one and keep the previous one so you can revert back to the previous setup, if needed.
