Isn’t she beautiful? Anyway, I love my 3DO. She’s so clean and came in box which is pristine too with all insets, etc. And 3 controllers!
It came with everything shown on the box, and inserts, etc. The console itself was actually in the original plastic wrapping packaging but packed back up really well after testing/ playing. unlike my Jaguar box which is beat to hell and doesn’t have the cardboard tray insert) I’m not great at determining g things like this but I would say that it’s mint or at least near mint (not sure what exactly the qualifiers for that are with retro cd based consoles)
The only thing missing was the (not for resale version of) Gex -I think they just included the jewel case with disc, no long box; maybe a long manual somewhere in the box as well, I’d guess, but no Long Box with a pack-in game like that, unfortunately) However, I was able to snag a NFRS copy of Gex for under $40 on eBay, so overall I’m pretty satisfied, but it wasn’t cheap!
Also, 2 of the 3 controllers it came with are this really cool Jet-Black Logitech controllers I’d never seen before but I think aesthetically, they look the best of any pads I’ve seen for the 3DO (of ALL -first and third party controllers I’ve seen for the 3DO). It also included the original JP2X (Panasonic FZ-10 controller) of course. I actually prefer to use the Panasonic controller over the Logitech ones. Just feels better in my hands, but the Logitech controllers look better on display, IMO!
Just need to put my Jaguar next to her instead of the SNES (in the photos) or put a Sega Tower of Power (Gen 2- once I finally track down a working 32X!). If you guys could recommend any new(ish) 3DO homebrews that are actually worth getting, that would be awesome, bc I don’t have an EverDrive type device for my FZ-10, but I have an EverDrive for my SNES, Kai Cart for my Saturn and a GameDrive for my Jaguar (the only option available… and the price reflects it! However, it’s a cool little device, I love mine; I KNOW I wouldn’t play my Jag anywhere nearly as much (or, at all tbh) if I didn’t have one of those. My physical Jag collection isn’t big, but neither is the Jag library, or the 3DO library, for that matter.
I have about 25 or so 3DO games and like 6 or 7 demo discs so I’ve tried a good portion of the 3DO library at this point. None of them are from beyond 1996 and I’d like to try some newer ones!)
Side note: On one of my demo CDs, it says something like “multiple playable demos” and WaterWorld is on the list, so I thought I was gonna be able to play a long-lost cancelled game, but nah, it’s just a clip /preview and doesn’t show much as far as gameplay, just looks like shots from the film mostly and some 3D graphics that were probably part of a cut-scene bc they looked beyond 32 bit abilities; it was either that or another clip from the movie, I can’t recall lol)
