Troubleshooting Scratching plates

Hello all,

I’m currently having issues with my Centauri Carbon Gen1.

It currently has about 300 hours on it and I’ve been through 3 plates. It just keeps scratching them to death, assuming it’s the Z axis or something along those lines that it isn’t reading right. I auto level EVERY print. I’m not sure what to do now. I’ve replaced the nozzle but I don’t exactly have the money to keep throwing at it. Any ideas on what I should do?

Check the Z offset and Z probe first. Auto leveling won’t help if the probe is giving a bad reference. Also make sure the plate is seated properly and there’s nothing underneath it. A first layer test while watching the nozzle during probing should quickly show whether it’s a Z calibration issue or a mechanical problem.
