I’m currently torn between the 65 LG OLED C5 and the 65 TCL Qm7l (C7L). Given the current price gap isn't huge, I know most people would immediately point to the OLED, but two specific main concerns are making me hesitate:

Daytime Brightness: Is the C5 bright enough for daylight gaming?

Burn-in: Some of the games I play take over 200+ hours to fully finish with HUDs, and I often pull continuous gaming sessions playing the exact same title in a single day. With static HUDs, health bars, and minimaps fixed on screen the entire time, is burn-in still a real threat on modern OLEDs with this use?

Or am I better off grabbing the TCL Qm7l (C7L) and not worrying about it at all?

Would love to hear from people who have hands-on experience with either (or both) of these panels!

I'm in the market for a new main TV. Currently have a 70inch Toshiba (yes I know I shouldn't of expected much from Toshiba) the wife bought but after multiple replacements due to excessive light bleed and clouding I've got a refund.

I've spent a good hour going through Reddit and bulk of responses are EU US/ not quite what the TV is used for. I'm also aware that visual preference plays a huge key in opinion.

So my question is where in the UK is best to go look and try out some TVs? Followed by based off the below what is a bunch of recommendations I can go check out.

TV is in the living room and it's pretty dark room even in summer so brightness isn't an issue. (Currently it's TOO bright)

Currently have 70inch and it's wall mounted we sit about 2 metres from the screen on a L shape couch so not the worst viewing angles. (Don't really want to go smaller than a 65)

35% usage is YouTube.

35% is 4k streams (films and TV shows)

30% gaming (mostly switch 2 but I have a ps5 I occasionally boot up)

Current has fire TV built in which we use a lot but I can just get a fire stick if it's not on the new one

I'm aware I don't need TOP of the line and I have a budget of around 800-1000£ but I don't want to buy for buying a sake

65” was for $600 but now its at $649 and 55” has been dropped under $500. I am currently using a 32” oled monitor and now we are getting a TV for our living room.
For people who have spent some good time with either of these sizes, how big of a difference it will be in every day experience specially for movie watching.

For some reason the back light on my tv gave out and I am now in need of a new tv. I saw a bunch of people recommend the TCL QM6K, but I see it listed everywhere at $650. Is there a somewhat comparable TV I can find that's less than $500?

I bought an 83" C5 2 months ago at Costco.

I just found out that the C6H is on sale for 300$ less than I paid for the C5.

I called customer support and it's no problem to swap the tvs and put the 300$ back in my pocket. Is there any reason I shouldnt do this?

What are everyone’s thoughts on this tv at this point. I’ve always been a Sony guy and I’m looking for something bigger than a 65 in (own an 65 A80J at the moment).

I know this is probably its last cycle for the 77 and the whole model period. Is it a bad investment at this point? I would love to upgrade but I’m not in a hurry if I can get a good deal.

As far as pricing greentoe has it at $2995, so we expect to be more price cuts in the future before the cycle ends?

I mainly watch shows and movies(4k uhd physical and streaming) with some occasional sports.

I'm looking to get a budget TV that's decently good for streaming but want to prioritize gaming slightly more.

I've found the TCL QM6K which looks like a good choice due to its 144Hz refresh rate.

However I've seen some mixed opinions on whether or not a higher refresh rate cause more input lag... e.g. some say it's worse/longer input lag because the TV is generating more frames, and others say it's better/shorter input lag because it generates those same frames at a faster rate. Idek lmao. I honestly might not be explaining their justifications perfectly, but it is definitely odd how it's nearly a 50-50 split on the info that I've found online.

So yeah I just wanted to get things straight, which side is the correct one?

I'm debating between a 65" C5 and G5. I have a pretty bright living room, but no direct sunlight on the wall where the TV will be located.

Currently I have the option for a new C5 for €1299 or an open box (meaning returned by another buyer within 14 days, not a show model) for €1199. Both have 2 year warranty.

Or a new G5 for €1699, with 2 year warranty + 5 year warranty on the panel.

I also looked at a 77" C5 but can't find them under €2100, unless open box (€1800).

I will only use it for watching movies, series and the occasional football game or F1 race. I'm not a gamer.

I currently have a basic LG55QNED from 2022, so either way it will be a big upgrade. But I do be looking for something long-term, don't plan on upgrading again anytime soon.

I’m looking for a 50" TV for my bedroom (so size is a hard limit 50" max, 55" would be too big). Budget is €500 max. I found a TCL C6K (EU name; I believe that’s the QM6K in the US) in 50" for about €450.

Quick context: I recently bought a Hisense 43E7S Pro and it was a disaster, panel uniformity issues on dark scenes (white smudges/scratches visible only on black) and Vidaa bricked itself during an update (bootloop stuck the Hisense logo). So I want something with a more reliable OS and better contrast/blacks.

43" would actually be ideal for the room, but I haven’t found anything in 43" with really good picture quality at this price. That’s why I’m looking at 50".

What I care about:

Picture quality (colors, motion, deep blacks)

No OLED, out of budget

A reliable OS

Mixed use: movies/series in a dark-ish bedroom, some sports, occasional gaming

Questions:

At €450, is the 50" C6K / QM6K a strong buy in 2025/2026, or is that just an average price?

Under €500, still in 50" only, is there something clearly better I should wait for / hunt instead (other TCL like C7K if it drops, Samsung Neo QLED, LG QNED, etc.)?

Any known panel lottery / uniformity issues on the 50" C6K I should check on first boot?

I can find the 77 G5 for 2075 euros or 77 C6 for 2086 euros. I guess the 77 C6 has the same tandem OLED as the G5 (LG website says it’s tandem OLED 2.0 so maybe slightly better?)

The G5 is a display model and has been used for a year. Comes with the box and labeled as “brand new”. However I asked the store employee and he said it was their display model and had been up for 12 months. Would you think it’s stupid to go for a G5 in this instance? The store has the same 2 year warranty and exchange policy as a brand new model and I have a 14 day return window in case I find any issues with the panel.

I lean towards the G5 more because of slightly better performance (rtings review says it’s slightly better in HDR) and better bright room and reflection handling. I also like the flush wall mount design.

On the other hand the C6 is brand new and from 2026. Not sure how the C6 would fare in a bright room…

Slightly confused… what would you recommend? Are either of these good deals? Live in Scandinavia so TVs are expensive compared to the rest of Europe

There was an older version called (CS6) maybe from around 2022.

But I found this (CS6VA) Middle East version,

and the ads say it’s 2026.

And after some research, I’m a bit confused because this one seems to have a different processor:

Can you please help me understand if this is actually a newer version, and not just a rebranded version of the older CS6?

What’s technically the best tv at 1k or under that’s 65inches? I’m coming from an older 2020 uhd tv that’s old, not bright and want to upgrade it!!!! It was the cheapest tv I could get at the time but I want a good upgrade now lol.

I wanted oled cause I’ve heard the blacks and color are amazing!!!!! But don’t see any in that price range unless I want to go 1,500 and up.

Don’t know much about rgb mini led. Do Hisense tv last a couple years? They seem to have so much tech for the price point!! And the videos of them look great but I’ve only had top Samsung TVs before.
