You notice a crate beside you. It has a note that informs you that you've been imprisoner for life for an experiment on lifelong depravation. Size:
10x10 : honestly my bed is already comfy so having something extra comfortable is a cherry on top
Whos Laying Beside me:
Human: don't get me wrong i like all the other other options but im going to be need socialization if im stuck here for ever
Crate:
Art Supplies: this at least forces me to think and stay creative while im stuck there
Media:
TV with channels: same idea with having another human, having more human interaction/socialization is probably the main thing thats going keep me sane, so seeing more of it is ideal
Food:
Daily Selections: This is actually nice since it gives me some agency plus i wont lose my mind eating the same thing all day
Bathroom:
Bathtub+shower: Having the choice of which i want to use will help with feeling less trapped

Summary:
- 20x20 Room,
- Human(Opposite gender) companion,
- Art Materials in crate
- Games for media
- Ingredients to cook myself for food.
- Bathroom options 1 or 3 depending on if compatible shampoo/conditioner is given with 1
- Bonus: Media option(headphones to help find privacy)
Large room is great for exercise and a human companion is just necessary for survival almost. Art materials and cooking are great to help find something to improve/work on(boredom is enemy here).
Games are ideal media as they have music, an immense/infinite amount of content(some games update and others like minecraft), and you can do it together with a friend. Bonus headphones for the music and getting alone time is nice.
Some necessary products like shampoo probably won't be given and are needed for comfortable life(though can pick 1 instead of 3 if they are provided. )
Detailed analyis:
Size: 20x20
My only concern is if we will have enough space to run and get exercise(why I would like 20x20 option) though an 8x8 option is also nice. 20x20's alarm thing isn't a big deal and we will def get used to it so worthy tradeoff for space unlike the smell thing.
Who's Lying beside you: Human(Opposite gender)
- Good to have a friend. You might not form a relationship but atleast you get to retain the option.
What other items are in the crate: Art materials
Music could have been ok but not my favorite. Otherwise, art is the best way to pass time with a high skill ceiling.
The supplies are also great for creating other things(props, a deck of cards, games, etc.)
Media: 2. TV with Sega, Nintendo, Nintendo Advanced, gamecube, and one console of your choice. + 12 games each.
This is only real decent option and you would be able to play some games(i.e. Minecraft) for years on end without getting bored. You may also be able to play multiplayer games and interact with other people. Said games also have music in them often which helps.
Issues with other choices: Jukebox lacks a headphone option and speaker quality is unknown. Podcasts/books have no genre restrictions so it could take 5-10 weeks to find a single decent option(for only a few hours of reading) and its even worse cuz you probably won't get the rest of a series for example.
Food: option 6. Ingredients
Cooking for yourself can be fun and a good way to keep motivated. The freedom to choose is also a valuable morale boost in such a situation. (Note: Lots of non-cooking uses here that you will prob get away with since this is an experiment anyway)
2/3/4 have decent variety so they are reasonable options(especially 3) but they also all are unhealthy to eat so regularly and we will die soon that way lol.
Bathroom: 1 or 3(Will choose 3 for roommate if they really need or if I can't get basic 3-in-1 shampoo type things with option 1)
- God I love bubble baths.
- I don't get a shower anymore? This option is kinda buns.
- Main thing is shower products. Idk if they are gonna provide shampoo/conditioner or if i will have to use soap(and mix in some ingredients from kitchen). I may choose this purely to help my roommate.
4: Painkillers are addictive and bad. Razors sorta nice but I am gonna make do with a knife from kitchen/arts and crafts luckily.
If I could do anything but sink wash, I would have likely chosen this.
Nice but not as nice as a bubble bath or shampoo...
Bonus: Definitely picking 2(Headphones for privacy and to play video games without disturbing roommate while also getting access to books/info)
5(Narcotics/alchohol) is a slippery pit and don't wanna touch. 6(Plants) aren't my thing and not valuable enough. 3(Companion) is nice but I think it could get messy if only 2 people get into relationship and alternatives are not likely(a 3-way relationship or always friends).
1(extra 4x4) is way too little extra space. Consider 8x8 vs 15x15 is like 7 extra and this clearly looks like a bad bonus.
4(extra bathroom option) is really nice and I want it but the space is just way too necessary for exercise so I can't go down to an 8x8 room.

16 square feet is bigger than you'd think. 8x8 goes from 64 sq feet suddenly becomes 80. It's much better for the small areas, and it's kind of pointless for the larger ones. I'd say it's only good for 8x8 and 10x10.

Oh HELL no! Lifelong deprivation and seclusion? Fuck that! People have gone insane within less than a month from that, even with animals to keep them company!
They want lifelong? Well gee, sure hope they get a lot of data when I ensure said life only lasts for at most another day!

Size:
8x8: I realized too late this is feet... Oops. Nice little extra bonus though.
Who's Laying Beside me:
Human (female): might get together, might not, thats fine by me. I just want to socialize
Crate:
Instrument of my choice: Trumpet!!!! I play this one already, so I guess I can entertain the human female i woke up next to
Media:
TV with games and a PS5 (modded for Linux, YOU SAID ANY CONSOLE): I like to play games, also it's a fun activity for me and human female to do
Food:
Random dailies: More experimentation, I will NEVER get flavour fatigue.
Bathroom:
Cabinet+space: Hygiene stuff is essential, because if razor is in this option, I'm assuming you can't get it otherwise. Also the meds will be great for when I eventually kill myself out of boredom. Also also I need space where I can get it because the lack of such in this room is concerning and claustrophobia-inducing.
Bonus!!!:
+1Media: I want the bookshelf, and I'm going with crazy long webnovels MAYBE EVEN SOME THAT ARE ONGOING so I get more bang for my buck book

Oh heck no! Lifelong? With only animals or a single (or maybe two) people? People have gone insane from such in less than a month!
Sure hope they manage to get some data when I do not intend to ...maintain my existence for more than a day!
(Previous comment got autodeleted due to being too graphic about that, it seems.)
