Oh mannnnn I’ve been looking for one of those Northern Lights sevens! Out of curiosity, why did you move it along?

The J custom. That guitar might as well have been another brand, so vastly different in fit and finish. Plus I grew tired of the blackouts that were in it. Bought it used. Good guitar and it started me going Ibanez. But compared to my j custom and hzk. It served it's purpose with me snd it was time to let it go as it was a guranteed case queen soon.

What prompted the purge of Jackson? I’ve never been a big Jackson fan personally don’t like to feel and the value for the dollar is not where I like it to be. Just curious, what diverted you from a big enough fan to buy three of them to someone who gets rid of them all. I was a ride or die Ibanez guy up until recently. I still love Ibanez, but the value is not there anymore. And I played a Schecter ultra thin C shaped neck, and I don’t know that I can ever go back from that best feeling neck I’ve ever played. The ultra thin D is also amazing but I like the C better

Been a jackson die hard for over 20 years. But I bought the iron label second hand and it blew my recordings with the jacksons away. That, plus the tanking QC... sold them while there was still 'some' reputation left.
Ibanez still has value for money, but at a higher pricetag. Prestige and j custom. A j custom when ypu really look at it in terms of woods, fit and finish... it is stupidly cheap. It is a lot of money for sure, but other brands go over 4k to start with even, where the j custom is s 3k tops guitar.
I paid 2850€ for mine. So I dunno what coolaid the reverb people drank but when a brand spanking a new one is a lot cheaper than a used... 😉
But all in all it is guitars in general. Budget and mid tier are vanishing. High end is alive and kicking, new chinesium cheap brands pop up like mushrooms bit resale is zero. The pra is a mid tier and surprisingly good. 1200€ and it has me thi king the core version is jot even a step up. The se is 95% of the core.

I have an RGIX7 in the same color way and I've been wrestling with the idea of getting rid of it and getting something MIJ. Maybe one day!

That hazuki looks killer, what made you go with it over the other options?

It's something else plus I was running my mouth at the store. 'Only got one guitar in mind but you can't get it anyway' turned out he could, so I put my money where my mouth was 😂 but it is something different, both spec wise and in looks. So it is not like I found mysekf at the wrong side of a bet. I got 1/30 that were coming to europe.

I also have the sR2605!
Hated the pickups, so swapped them for the stock Power Tap pickups that came on my SR305, and swapped the gold hardware for the black hardware on my SRMS805 and put the gold hardware on that. Gonna get bartolinis for it.

I had that SLAT 3-7 but sold because I didn’t want a 7 with a Floyd. Neck on that was unreal though, best I’ve ever played on a 7

Which of old and new kit did you play the most?
