Help (General) The computer doesn't detect the 9070 XT. I've been sitting here for 10 hours.
SOLVED
GPU: AMD 9070 XT
CPU: RYZEN 7800X3D
Motherboard: MSI X670E TOMAHAWK
BIOS Version: 7E12v1L2
RAM: 32 GB Team Group T-create 3000
PSU: DeepCool PX1000G
Case: Lian Li lancool 3
Operating System & Version: WINDOWS 11
GPU Drivers: Adrenaline 26.8.1
Chipset Drivers: Latest
Description of Original Problem: I switched from a 6750 GRE to a 9070 XT.
There's power, the graphics card lights up, but that's it.
DisplayPort says "no power," and when I boot through the processor, neither GPU-Z, nor HWinfo, nor Adrenaline see the graphics card.
Troubleshooting: I updated the BIOS to the latest version.
I set the startup mode to PCI-E on GEN 4 with AUTO.
I disabled EXPO.
I booted with one stick of RAM.
I downloaded the latest Chipset drivers.
UPD:
Okay, I'm about to get punched in the face.
My 12-pin connector wasn't fully inserted or had popped out. I tried pushing it in, but it wouldn't go in, even though the graphics card was glowing, the fans were running, and I thought everything was fine.
But I simply took the PC apart, carefully plugged in all the wires, and everything worked.
My experience should be important for others - always keep an eye on the cables, even if there is power

Try to hard reset the BIOS, unplug the power from the PSU, then find the motherboard battery, remove itt for 5 minutes, then insert it back and power up the PC again.
I replaced my 5060Ti with 9070XT, and have similar issues, the BIOS does not recognize the GPU, no output any of the ports, spent hours troubleshooting even RMA the card for other one, then this helped.

Glad you solved it OP. We've all been there before, these and the mobo connectors can be fiddly.

How are you viewing the info, I assume through igpu rather than the port on the graphics card?
Also assuming you've plugging in the GPU power connectors?
Just listing a few ideas,
Might be worth plugging into the GPU and leaving it a couple of mins.
There is normally a setting in the bios that asks where to look for the GPU (although if you did a straight swap this shouldn't have changed). Might be worth just starting from default bios settings.

You need to check if the GPU is the problem, you should try it in another PC...since I had the same issue 3 years ago, which turned out to be the MSI B660 motherboard's PCIe slot not delivering enough power, I’m inclined to think it’s a motherboard issue, especially with MSI boards...your psu it's very good so it's not the psu (unless you messed something up with the psu power cables)...

try a diferent cable and also a diferent port DP or HDMI

I had this issue with my 7900XTX when I didn't plug in all 3 PCIe power cables, and it happened again when one of the cables was bad.
EDIT: If it's a dual bios card, try flipping the switch to the other bios

It could be the card itself. Did you get it preowned? When I repasted my 3060 I had this issue and I had to take the card apart and reseat it. The PC couldnt detect it

You need to buy a new PSU, 1000W isn't enough!!! Lol But, seriously, maybe your PSU is faulty. Have you already tried your GPU on another rig?

Did you try reseating the GPU? Did you try a different display port and DP Cable? Anti sag bracket or stand installed?

If you're not using a riser cable, the problem is it's either not in the slot or not being powered by pcie cables

Do you have the 9070XT installed in the top PCI-E slot? For the Graphics Card: The primary top slot (PCI_E1) runs at full PCIe 5.0 x16.
Do you have the power supply cables plugged into the new 9070XT? 9070XTs usually have PSU connectors located on the side of the GPU facing the side of the case that you can see through the glass.
When your motherboard boots up and cycles thru the different colored lights, do any of the LED POST lights remain on (white, amber/orange, green, red)? If one remains on it can clue you in on a problem with the GPU, RAM, bootable drive, CPU...etc.
Make sure you're plugging the DP or HDMI cable from your monitor into the actual GPU instead of leaving it in the motherboard's DP or HDMI connectors. You probably have to reboot the PC if you try and switch the cable from iGPU to the 9070XT, Windows probably doesn't like it when you try a hot swap.
