Meme NA Beer

Is it frowned upon or a flex cracking one of these open at work? Like if it's truly 0.0% ABV

Really testing the "do what your career can handle" thing aren't ya

It’s typically not fully NA. There’s like 0.5% or less ABV, but it’s not fully zero. When I worked in grocery in high school and college, I had to card people for it.

So, I wouldn’t if I were you.

There's an increasing amount of 0.0% drinks though that are truly alcohol free which they mention in the post. But I understand that perception is really important and it's just not worth it. But someone else made the correct point that kombucha has as much alcohol as an NA beer but no one cares about that.

Similar alcohol in Kombucha lol

A lot are closer to zero these days. But bananas and other fruits can have up to 0.5.

Starting the troll off a lil too early. This is a good 11pm post. Not 830am.

Wait who/ where are you not allowed to drink kombucha at work??

1

u/spartan224 1d ago

You’ve heard of kombucha gate too?

u/ForsakenRacism 1d ago

Who frowns on kombucha? They will serve it to my 3 year old at a restaurant

2

u/Former_Farm_3618 1d ago

There’s a few facilities that have been told kombucha isn’t allowed. I haven’t seen it enforced as they just drink it not in the room.. it’s silly management is picking choosing

u/ForsakenRacism 1d ago

That’s gotta be a psychotic interpretation. You’d have to ban fruit too

Why? Even if it was fine, why?

I like the flavor of beer and have drank n/a beer many times when it wasn't appropriate to consume alcohol like when i had to drive later. Drinking n/a beer at work seems breathtakingly stupid. Makes me wonder how did such an idiot slip through the cracks?

Athletic beer has some really good ones, but they do put a disclaimer saying since its naturally fermented it may have less than 0.5% ABV

This has happened and management did not have a sense of humor about it

Just pour tea into a Jack Daniels bottle and drink from it like all normal people do.

So we have a reporter trying to go to bat for us in the media, and someone thinks this is the kind of stuff we need to be asking about.

Geezus.

This is kind of like cracking open an NA while you're driving. You get pulled over and then try to embarrass the cop only to have the cop find six other things that get you in court.

Pilot here...I think you should try it and get canned so I don't have to worry about your irresponsible behavior while I'm speaking to you.

We’re not even allowed Kombucha at my facility so I can only imagine their reaction to NA beer.

What about ripe bananas (0.5 ABV)

u/VOls6901 1d ago

Kombucha??? Why

We have one psycho person in management. He said it can potentially be higher than 0.00% since it’s fermented so it’s not allowed.

Maybe check this out.

Nice try Hegseth.

Yes, frowned upon. Even if you find one of the 0.0 ones, you're going to be explaining it to everyone under the fucking sun for longer than you care to. Also, you're prolly going to get "randomly" tested for the next 5 years straight.

Juice just ain't worth the squeeze. Want to really stick it to the FAA? Just make it to retirement and collect what you are owed.

I suppose you could but it doesn't look professional. A true professional doesn't need beer, 0.0 or otherwise. A true professional will offer to spruce up the facility, spray painting each room with fresh coat. A retro silver color is best. A true professional will use mouthwash often, between coffees, sometimes between transmissions. I often add it to my coffee because that is more efficient. A true professional will clip their favourite references out of the manuals and carefully glue them into a scrapbook. With model plane glue, not that crappy stick stuff. Since becoming a professional the days seem to pass by much faster.

I can do all this with a cold one in my hand too.

Why start so small? You could also fill water into an empty Vodka bottle and drink from that.

u/ohYeah_inSight 1d ago

Glad to see we’re getting the best and the brightest still. Your facility should fire you into the sun if you thought for even a second NA beer could be a flex

2

u/PROPGUNONE 1d ago

Realistically? Shouldn’t be any problem whatsoever. It’s a true 0%. Watches supes smash kombucha before… way more alcohol than any 0% beer.

Probably cause a ruckus tho. Could be fun.

It is wild how no one gets carded to buy kombucha yet we get carded for NA beer, though I think it's somewhat just coding in grocery systems since I can get athletic delivered to my doorstep without a signature.

If I crack an actual beer on position what are they gonna do? Fire me or just give me a year long break downstairs?

Promoted to OM

3

u/yyz_barista 1d ago

I suggest you have a Liquid Death first and see how that goes over before going to NA beer.

A guy had hop water at my place. That’s fine. Anything labelled differently if just asking for trouble, and why? Can’t wait 8 hours for some yeasty drink? Caffeine is the accepted addictive beverage of this industry.

Hop water is delicious! I don't drink alcohol, but I like all of the different flavors Athletic has. I'm not talking about pounding a case of NA Busch lol
