I’m looking to move within a month for work, just graduated! I’m not originally from ATL but I did go to university here. Right now i’m between two apartments 505 Courtland and The Garrison. Leaning towards 505 for the area, coming from a city walkability is important to me and I feel like I have a little more of than in midtown. The Garrison is a new complex, very beautiful and the area seems nice. If anyone knows a little more in depth about these areas or specifically the 505 building please let me know!!

this is random i know. but did anyone live in sterling highlands apartments in the early 2000’s ? do you have pics? i was a kid when i lived there but its a distance memory & can’t find anything on the internet about it and how it used to look

We looked at Decatur and Lilburn...both seem to be close enough to Tucker. Lilburn seems to have a Greenway trail that seems nice.

Not knowing the exact areas any thoughts on the following?

Arden Vue 3421 N Druid Hills Rd

Cortland 3131 N Druid Hills

Or any others good properties?

Decatur and Liburn safe low crime?

What about those specific areas?

Starting a new job in midtown pretty soon after having lived in Sandy springs for a while with parents. Finally making the move to live alone and want to be close to my office in midtown. I also want to live alone but don’t have a super high budget- does anyone have recommendations for a nice, secure apartment building or house that has studios or 1 beds for $1900 a month all including fees and utilities? I realize it’s a tight budget for the area, but I really like to save heavy for a house in the future. Let me know!!!

My dad is looking to move closer to us in the vinings/smyrna area and I’m looking for recommendations for a single man nearing his 60s and his dog who have never lived in the south before. He wants a nice 1 bedroom apartment but it is hard to tell what is good anymore with all these apartment’s over saturated reviews. He’s also hoping for a bathroom with no tub since he’s had issues falling over the edge in the past. His budget is around $2k if it’s worth it for the place. Currently he’s looking at the Gables Vinings Village and Stillhouse Vinings. Any recs?

Are there complexes that will rent to someone who doesn’t have current employment but sufficient savings to pay six months or more in advance? I’ve searched online but not coming up with much. Or I’m not using the correct terms. The results keep bringing up low income housing, which wouldn’t be the case. Actually, asking for a friend moving here. Why? I’m not too sure as it doesn’t seem the smartest plan.

Looking for a 1/1 in the area but both my partner and I have bankruptcies, his is over a year old but under two, mine will be a year in January. We both had a rough covid and divorce before meeting so we've been rebuilding credit, and we had a rough few months when we first got here. For the sake of full transparency, he has a 660ish score, mine is 545.

Anyone know any second chance type apartments? We have perfect rental history, good income with two stable careers, were just still rebuilding our credit.

I’m 23F looking to move out in the next 2 months (the sooner the better). I am looking for a room to rent or someone looking for a roommate to move in with. Ideally, I’d like to be around Sandy Springs/Roswell Rd atea because of work but I will be okay with other options around metro ATL. My budget is $800-$900 but I’ll be okay with $1000! I’m a SAHM of almost 6 years and am currently trying to leave a long-term relationship and find a stable place for myself and my kids as soon as possible.
My biggest obstacle is qualifying for a rental. I don’t currently have traditional pay stubs because I’ve been home raising our children, but I’m actively working on securing childcare and getting back into the workforce.
I do have family willing and able to help with the security deposit and rent while I get established, so my issue isn’t having absolutely no way to pay, it’s proving the typical 2.5–3x monthly income that most apartments require right now.
My partner and I have also owned/run a business together and filed taxes jointly, so I have tax returns and business documentation that may be usable as alternative proof of income.
I’m hoping someone here may know of private landlords, smaller property management companies, apartments that accept guarantors/co-signers, prepaid rent, or alternative income documentation in the Atlanta/Fulton County area.
I’m not looking for anyone to give me money or a free place to live. I’m just trying to figure out what realistic housing options exist for someone transitioning out of being financially dependent on a partner.

My family has been debating moving from Savannah to outside Atlanta. We're ready for a change and I can work from Savannah or Atlanta. I'm mostly remote but will need to commute into midtown once a week. We're hoping to buy a home but our budget won't be getting us to Johns Creek. We're hoping to stay under $350k. We have two small children. We're looking for good schools, safety, family friendly, and greenery. We visited this past weekend and liked Powder Springs, Kennesaw, and Liliburn. Any advice? We rent now in Savannah but want to buy before the kiddos start kindergarten. Before kids my husband and I lived outside of Washington, DC. Not sure if I'm crazy for wanting to trade Savannah for Atlanta but I just miss having more of a fall, wooded trails, and access to museums.

I’m trying to arrange for a PODS container to be placed on a public street in Atlanta and am looking into the required dumpster/pod permit. I live in an apartment and only have public street parking available.

Has anyone been able to get the permit successfully or does everyone just skip it ?

Any tips and advice would be appreciated. I spoke with PODS and they seemed lacking any context about this like it was first time somebody asked for documents to comply with a city permit 👀

Hi guys, just as the title says, I'm new to Atlanta and came here for work which is at Buckhead and haven't started yet.

I currently stay with my friend in midtown (marq on ponce) near GAtech. I'm looking for a good 1b1b apartment close to 1.5-1.6k.

Main priority would be safety, and good management.

I've read through alot of the reddit posts and google reviews and found many to be ambiguous (management, homeless people, roaches, thin walls.)

So, if you have hunted houses recently or currently living in one, I would really appreciate your guidance and reviews.

If a place is to be avoided, please tell me why so I can remove it off my list.

P.S: I also toured the 505 courtland recently and i loved the interiors but the place didn't feel safe to me, I'd appreciate if someone can tell me their experience.

The apartment is Axis Midtown

I'm looking at different apartments in midtown and one of the apartments I liked 6 months ago was axis midtown and it had great review and then more recently the reviews just tanked

Apparently there has been car break-ins, homeless people roaming the parking garage and potentially living underneath the stairwell in the parking garage. The new security guard apparently not doing much to keep parking garage secure.

I am looking at a few other apartments as well its just i really liked Axis Midtown and wanted to see if anyone who lives or lived there can describe their experience

I’m a sales rep and my territory is shifting in January to northern Atlanta and the upstate of SC - Cumming, Canton, Sandy Springs, Roswell, Seneca, Easley, Spartanburg but also a few accounts in Stockbridge and Fayetteville. I’m in Grant park currently but with traffic I think it makes most sense to relocate to Buckhead/Brookhaven? I’m in my mid 30’s, no kids but two dogs. I love being able to feel safe when I walk my dogs, being walkable to green space, limited street and highway noise ideally, and easy access to my accounts. If you can recommend any complexes that you love that would fit my needs wants, let me know :) thanks in advance!
