Wireless communication issues

so i've been having an issue with one specific contact through texts/calls/facetimes for months now. it's intermittent so it doesn't always occur but i will text, call, or facetime sometimes and they will say they don't receive them and vice versa on their end. it's extremely confusing and frustrating. they even got a new phone and # because of this and it still is occurring. i have at&t and they have tmobile. i was just curious has anyone experienced something similar? and what is the solution to fixing it?

You both need to check your Settings>Focus, scroll all the way down to the bottom and then turn Focus Status to OFF.

Then Settings>Apps>Phone and turn off Live VM, set Screen unknown callers to never, and turn off call filtering for unknown callers and spam.

Then do the same in Settings>Apps>Messages and Settings>Apps>Facetime.

It’s probably more related to the Focus settings, but do all the others to make sure. If it clears it up, you can then test the individual settings being turned on, one by one, with that person and see which setting may have caused the issue.

Check your Active Armor settings too. If they aren’t set as the defaults and you’ve gone in and manually selected other settings, that can overzealously filter shit out. The Tmob cx should check their SPAM filtering system too.
