Help Replacing fender
Hello
I tipped my families 4 wheeler and fortunately its fine but the fender sustained some damage. They want to replace it. The damage is those white creases on it basically.

It seems pretty costly.
Any recommendations for an alternative? The shipping is pretty killer.

At those prices be glad that it's not a camouflage fender.😬 But seriously, that is a huge waste of time and money to replace that fender. Tell your family that it's a quad, not a show piece. If they wanted a show bike then they should have bought a can am!

Buy the part sell the old part on Facebook and never ride one of their atvs again. If family can’t understand accidents then you don’t put yourself into situations anymore.

Yeah I slid most of the cash. He didnt ask for the whole $555 that it may end up costing. I did float the idea of selling it but their response was legit to trash it lmao. Just weird dynamics. Good people they fostered me growing up.

Atvs get bashed. That's just how it is. They let you ride it knowing that was a possibility. Not to mention it's family. That's just petty.

For sure. Was just trying to find any cheaper alternatives cause it is crazy how expensive it is.

If you buy from a local dealer they won't charge shipping, if it were mine I'd not replace it yet, that is minor cosmetic flaw, wait for a bigger issue to replace it.

I cracked mine alittle and snipped it off even then sanded it. Looks like it came from the factory that way 🤣

People that get upset over things like this irritate me to no end. (Im sorry, not trying to be rude to you by any means) I get you taking responsibility to fix a mistake, which is great, most people wouldn't. But this is petty. Its an atv. Things like this happen. If I replaced fenders evertime something like this happened to me, my repairs would probably out weigh the price of my atv. I'd try to talk them into just letting it go. Because sure enough, as soon as you fix it, someone else will do something similar. Anyways, good luck in whatever you decide.

I slid the cash. He knows someone who is a dealer who was able to order it for $400 and cut the shipping costs.
Am slightly annoyed that he said pay for half which $350 was over. Then when the price was cut down to $400 from $555 roughly there's not a whole lot of other movement. It will be a trip to go get the part and it'll take a good deal of time to replace.
It is frustrating though honestly. Whole lot of other context but it feels like cause I can easily afford it thats why it ended this way.

I think I remember seeing someone take a heat gun to damage like that and it made white stress marks just like that disappear. Just take it slow and don't get to close to the plastic.

Not worth replacing, put a decal there.
