A tester noticed using the SSAUGv2 with the Heresy had bad timing and resulted it premature detonation. Nobody was hurt and nothing was damaged, but nonetheless the SSAUGv2 trip is designed around the OEM BCG. Please wait till we make one specific for the Heresy 9mm.

In case you didn’t know, it is possible to run A3M1 style rails and optics on an A3M2 receiver without leaving an ugly gap or losing the forward QD sling mount that the AUG is known for. However, the part(s) necessary for this aren’t sold on Steyr’s website. You will need to email or call Steyr and ask for parts US1264020040 ($58.27), 3900073 ($3.50), 3860019H ($1.00). Those are the M2 QD sling swivel, screw, and roll pin, respectively. The QD sling mount is rotation limited. Also works with Clawgear handguard.

Just bought my first Aug A3m1. Has upgraded trigger, charging handle, nato model. Is there anything I should be wary of or know before I start having fun with it? Going to be home defense gun. Appreciate it!

I finally bought an AUG and would like to remove the factory flash hider so I can put a suppressor on. Does anyone know what Steyr uses to secure them? Rocksett? Loctite?

Pretty basic, just have added a scope so far. I need to get red springs, case deflector, and replace the charging handle. Still trying to decide on a new upper rail. I also need to install the KNS plug and get it set up.

I recently received the rest of the production example parts and was able to do some internal testing.
The examples preformed extremely well compared to the original prototypes.
These are all in the white currently and small tweaks in both design and aesthetics are to be expected. A new round of beta testing is in the works.
We are one more step closer to a launch!

Wanted to buy one that I found on sale for 1700, but I saw a couple of posts and a video from a certain guy claiming his shipped with an out-of-spec upper rail and magazines that sit too high when inserted, getting in the way of the bolt, video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzG6dSL0naQ&t=364s
Is this just a lemon, or is this a more widespread issue that Steyr is having with QC?

I inherited this gem while spending a month dealing with an estate while out of state. A family member offered me the usual, it was very generous, but I said. "That's all I want... deal?"
And then I pulled my shoulder lifting too many heavy things, so I've just been staring at this beautiful piece for almost a month. Does anyone have a good video on breakdown or especially first time lubing before shooting? I've been hunting on YT and a found a few but, just wondering if someone knows the way.
Happy August gentlemen.

I know some of y’all hate to see the CA version but I still love this thing.
All ARID’d up (deflector not shown), Swampfox Raider 1x Prism, Corvus forward rail and charging handle, IMI Defense AFG, Heresy Design Mag Release, KAK Aug muzzle brake
Hey folks,
Finally was able to go and put my new A3M2 through its paces. Had a blast. Another guy was out shooting his PS90 and we swapped for a bit. While we both said the PS90 was a fun rifle to shoot, we both thought the AUG was much more fun to shoot.
Anywho.
The next upgrade is coming sooner than I thought, and I wanted to get some opinions.
Which would you prefer, YHM Turbo K-RB or the HuxWrx Flow556K?
The latter is twice the $$ and I’m curious if it worth it? I’ve read great reviews on the YHM, but I’ve heard with the HuxWrx the standard gas plug works great.
Any thoughts or guidance is much appreciated.
Thank you!

Desert Tech is hosting a build contest around their Quattro-15 receiver, but there's a catch: They only specified that you have to *use* their lower. They never said *how* it has to be used.
I grafted a Quattro-15 receiver to the end of my gaped AUG using an M16A1 upper, electrical tape, and a zip-tie. It is now my mag holder, optic mount, and foregrip. I also added an RC3 and EoTech for maximum buffoonery :)
EDIT: Almost forgot, Happy AUGust!

It's not 9mm and it's printing. Hopefully doesn't fail while I'm out for the day. This is my first test print to test fit, once everything is dialed I'm going to have it more professionally printed. The end goal is to cast it out of aluminum but it's been a few years since I've done backyard investment casting and it may be more hastle than it's worth.
Totally unrelated note but anyone know where I can get a chambered 16" 7.62 Tok barrel? They all seem sold out. 🤔

Its been awhile since I have posted to the subreddit. I hope everyone is doing well and Happy August!

Interested in getting a suppressor but I think clearance will be a problem with how close the guard sits to the barrel. Not to mention it may look goofy essentially having two cylinders not lined up symmetrically.
