He had not yet spoken to his team when he addressed the media. When asked whether he had a message for the fans, he said no.

Given his response to fans during his press conference I don’t blame them.

Hey y'all! I'm a Phillies fan in unfamiliar territory lol I'm in Phoenix for a work trip and wanted to catch a good game during my free time!

My 4 year old daughter is a MASSIVE Phillies/baseball fan who watches every game with me and asked me if I could try and bring home a ball for her. I would love to try and be her hero once again if possible and I heard it's best to show up right as the doors open to try and get one from batting practice. Is that the best way to go about it? How soon do doors open? I was thinking of getting seats next to the visitors bullpen, but I actually really want to watch the game as close as possible since it's my first Phillies game in person and am leaning towards getting seats somewhere behind home plate.

Any tips or advice? Thanks in advance, pumped for the game tonight!!

The arenado move alone is most likely what’s keeping us in this playoff race.

The dude has objectively great numbers and just compare him to like mookie betts (awful contract).

He’s literally having a better season than mookie betts in all stats. And St. Louis is paying most of his contract.

Just an absolute fleece! Sure Hazen has made some mistakes, but dude is great at keeping us competitive on a Kendrick budget. We aren’t exactly the biggest spenders outside of the occasional big contract.

I say keep Hazen as long as he’ll stay, we more than likely won’t get another GM that can build a young core like he has. Gotta give him SOME credit at least.

Give Ketel a warm welcome. It will do absolutely no good to do anything otherwise. Imagine a Ketel hot streak starting tonight for this last few weeks of baseball. We need him and therefore we need him in the right headspace. Final push, let’s go Dbacks.

EDIT: my line of thinking is this - he’s going to play. if he plays, he better play well. If he’s going to play well, better odds of that if he isn’t booed given all we know about him at this point. what a waste for all of this to lead to him taking a roster spot, playing like shit and further tanking his trade value. This isn’t an I love Ketel post. It’s an I want to get to October post.

EDIT#2: presser and that hat pushed me over the edge. hope we can still get something of worth for him. what a fucking fumble by the front office letting it get to this point.

It was 8-10 years ago, purple fitted hat with an oversized A logo that was almost all copper. I remember seeing them at the ballpark and at the stores, but I can’t find anything online about them anywhere.

Has anyone else been pretty disappointed with McCanns framing ability? I know he's never been a defensive first catcher but man he is not doing his pitchers any favors with his framing.

It is entirely possible pitchers are missing the spots where he doesn't have an option to frame. But I feel like the more and more I see of him it just looks so sloppy on the receiving side.
