Unexpected move but having a younger guy in there -- and a euro winner who will get a long with Mancini.... I like it.

Kean to Como and a good weekend for younger Italians

What do you guys think of Kean going to Como, if it happens?

My opinion of Kean has been a complete 180 over the last two seasons, I must admit. I used to think he was something of a waster. But I really love his effort and he became pretty prolific for Italy. He seems to be much more consistent now.

Playing CL football with Como would be good for him and terrible for Fiorentina, who are building a very nice squad. Saying that, seeing Liberali and Kean on an up and coming Como would be good for the azzurri. interesting move.

We are in a very decent place with Pio and Kean competing for what will probably be one place if Mancini plays 433.

If Retegui finds a better league and club, even better. He as great for Atalanta in that one great season he had.

Overall a good weekend for young Italians. Cisse, Kayode and Pio scored. Calafiori got an assist. Sad to see Liberali unused, the way Fabregas talks about him is always positive, so I hope he plays the next game (especially as Como were average).

I'm also wondering about Camarda and Commotto -- how will their seasons play out?

Call up predictions

It's been very quiet on the Azzurri front since Mancini, Ranieri and Zola were confirmed.

The next important moment will be the squad call ups. This is where Mancini sets the tone and shows us his intentions.

Outside of the obvious quality guys (Donna, Calafiori, Tonali, Barella, Pio, Kean)... who do you think will be the youngsters called up?

Not necessarily who you WANT... but who Mancini will likely call?

I'm thinking Liberali, Ahanor, Palestra, Kayode, Inacio, Bartesaghi are very likely.

Guys like Vergara, Camarda, Chiarodia, Leoni (if fit in Sept), even Pafundi stand a good chance.

Then we have guys we probably don't want to see again like Cristante, Di Lorenzo, Politano... do you think Mancini will call up any of those guys?

Will Chiesa be called on or will Mancio refuse until he gets first team football?

A big (but welcome) surprise would be Tresoldi, locking him in for an official competitive cap.

News/Notizie Ex Milan youth chief Galli slams Maldini: "Can't talk about youth development"

Filippo Galli has hit back at Paolo Maldini, insisting the Milan icon cannot pass judgement on Italian youth football “without having ever gone through, from the inside, the daily work that development requires.”

Galli insisted technique cannot be taught in isolation from tactical understanding, and that Italy’s real shortfall lies elsewhere: “Italy’s technical problem isn’t the wall, if anything, it’s the courtyard,” he said, pointing to a lack of unsupervised street football rather than any excess of coaching.

He said the Rossoneri’s academy under his watch was built on attacking football that “never traded our idea of formative football for an immediate result,” with mistakes treated “as a stepping stone, not a fault.”

Fabio Grosso - The Unknown Journeyman Who Rose to the Top of World Football

A story of how an unknown Journeyman playing in the lower leagues of Italian football rose to the very top of world football.

Fabio Grosso, from an Italian name few knew, to a hero for the entire nation, with the entire world speaking about him and saying his name.

His story is one of my favourite success stories in football history and it's not spoken about enough, at least by us English football fans.

A legendary World Cup, legendary team, and this is a story to tell your friends, or kids, who are football fans or want to get in to football and learn some football history, all football fans should know about one of the Azzurri's greatest heroes, and one of the best success stories in the sport. His story proves you should never give up on your hopes and dreams.

Other than the obvious World Cup win, what is your favourite Fabio Grosso moment?

Tickets Buy/Sell/Questions - Biglietti Acquista/Vendita/Domande As an American, how do I buy tickets.

I will be in Rome for September 25th for Italy’s Nations League game against Belgium and not sure how to get tix online.

I’d prefer to get them from an official vendor rather than a 3rd party, just to be safe.

I went to what seems like the official ticketing site of the Italian Football Federation but the “tickets” section of the site is a mess. Any tips?
