Just want to say
I don’t paint much. This was me messing around with colors and brushstrokes. Everyone here is so talented. I LOVE seeing what you’ve all been up to.

I got some lovely, constructive feedback when I posted my painting a week or so ago and have since made some changes. Would love to know what you all think of it now! The first image is current; the second is the original. Lighting is a bit off - the original is a bit lighter IRL.

Artist: Johnny Imbres
16”x20” acrylic on canvas (2025)
BIG DICK ENERGY examines the moment someone recognizes that kind of presence in another person. The figures, hidden phallic forms, and glowing landscape become the psychological world built around that perception. The pigment absorbs light and releases it in darkness, making the perceived energy physically visible. It explores how a single impression can expand into an entire internal world.
