Meet ATLAS #A659682, an adorable 11-month-old pup with one of the most unique little smiles! 😂❤️ Despite everything, this happy boy still manages to make the volunteers laugh.

Atlas was brought to the shelter on 8/25 after being found as a stray. He had a microchip, but unfortunately attempts to locate his original owner were unsuccessful. Now this sweet boy needs a new family, foster or rescue to step up for him.

He’s still just a puppy with his whole life ahead of him. Please help us get him OUT and into a home where that goofy smile can make someone happy every day. 🏡💕

🆘 URGENT — JJ IS OUT OF TIME AT HARRIS COUNTY PETS IN HOUSTON, TX‼️

Don’t let all that fluff fool you — JJ is just a little guy at only 29 lbs! 🥺❤️** He was found wandering in the Memorial area of Houston, where a kind citizen temporarily took him in before he ended up at the she**lter.

Now JJ needs a foster or adopter to get him OUT. He has been there since 8/12 and can be euthanized for length of stay any Monday, Wednesday or Friday morning without notice. 💔

JJ is only 2 years old. He’s described as people-friendly, curious and a little timid, and he takes treats gently. 🥹 He deserves the chance to decompress in a real home and learn what it feels like to be safe and loved.

Sweet BERNIE has been waiting at Harris County Pets since August 7, and he is now at serious risk due to his length of stay. 💔

Bernie seems like a dog who may simply not be used to people being kind to him. When a volunteer sat quietly outside his kennel and offered him a treat, he sniffed it, hesitated, then slowly came forward and took it VERY gently. 🥹❤️

When offered affection, he seemed surprised at first, but quickly realized the person was there to be kind and accepted the pets. 💕 He just needs someone willing to give him a little patience and show him what being loved and safe feels like.

Bernie is also dog friendly and has been friendly with his new buddy Clifford. He originally came into the shelter as a stray with his sister, Norma Jean, who is also still waiting for a home. 💔

This handsome 3-year-old boy was found abandoned on the streets of Houston, but it’s clear he once belonged to someone. 🥺 Someone taught him to SIT, and he was kept on heartworm prevention — he is heartworm NEGATIVE. ❤️

And despite everything he’s been through, ANGEL was friendly with our volunteer and enjoyed the attention. 🐾❤️

We don’t know how a dog who was once cared for ended up alone on the streets. What we DO know is that ANGEL deserves someone who will finally choose him and not give up on him.
