Flawless trip

Headline says the most. Im looking for a all around bike. Im 1.84 cm, so height is not a problem and I've ridden adv bike before.

I mostly ride in city, to work.

My trips are %70 on road.

Almost every summer I go on a 2k km long trip and includes camping, so i can carry bags-tents etc. Sometimes I have a passenger too.

Im planning roughly 5k km trip for next summer.

There are some issues on CF Moto services in my country. Ive seen people waiting 2-3 months for spare parts. But in the other hand, RE is relatively new at the market but it's distributor is the company that manufactures Hyundai cars. Which gives me more trust and when I did my research, I didn't see anyone needed a spare part for Himalayan except accidents.

450 MT's upper engine cover problem makes me think.

Which one is more reliable and has better quality?

So my fiance, Austeja and I (Michal) really really want to become motorcycle adventure riders. I've spent a year recomissioning a bike that was gifted to me in boxes after it broke down in 2018 for Austeja. As soon as I did my identical varadero 125 decided it will drink all it's oil and I'm just finishing the rebuilding of its engine now.

But at the beginning of the year we spontaneously went to Morocco. Landed in Agadir and since we don't have deep pockets we just rented a 50cc scooter to get around. Later traded it in for a 200cc with a clutch within an inch of its life... It obviously ran out in the most convenient place, the side of a mountain at dusk.

Anyway! We filmed the whole thing. It's our very first video. I've also filmed the recomissioning of her Varadero and the rebuild of the engine. I'll be editing that as quickly as I can. Until now, you can have a watch of the video we just released.

We can't wait to meet like minded adventure riders in the wild once we can finally ride together!

I ride pretty much exclusively on road so i think i should upgrade to a 90/10 road tire like the contitrail attack 3s. They get very good reviews and my main concern is on road handling so they seem like a good option to switch to once my stock pirelli scorpion rally strs get worn out.

How do the contitrail attack 3s compare to michelin anakee roads and pirelli scorpion trail 3 and dunlop meridians? Anybody ridden both?

After many many moto camp adventures this is one I always share with newer riders. The first night in the tent usually sucks. There's just too many barriers for your brain to get over and have a good night's sleep. For example the sleeping bag isn't like sleeping in sheets, pad doesn't feel like your mattress at home, the sounds, the smells.

Stick it out though. Don't go for a hotel night two. Give yourself a few days to acclimate and you'll be way better off. It gets easier!

Took the girl out for a little stretch yesterday. Not much around me in Northamptonshire. This was towards Dunstable.

I have a decent pannier setup on the bike, not enough room for a decent tank bag. I like having water bladder, waterproofs, first aid kit, small amount of food, and similar stuff in a small backpack so I don't need to delve into my bags for the day to say stuff.

I struggle with how high up the weight is in a backpack though, and wondered if anyone has used plce/molle/Alice style belt webbing setups for that role? Or even if there's a civilian setup that's affordable for it

I want to carry a deterrent (not bear spray, although I do have that). I am seeing chest holsters. Is anyone actually wearing this while riding? Doesn’t seem like a good place to have a hard object, if you go down/do an endo.

How much could be difference between these two handguards regarding windchill in the cold months? The first one looks like so much sleeker in my opinion (SW-Motech), but the second seems more practical (Puig).

Edit: I have factory installed heated grips, a quite ok pair of winter glove, and cheap ugly hippo hands for the most extreme weather.

I got these rideiron moto boots from amazon and they are much better than the cumbersome knee high boots i used to wear. Order a half size down tho. I usually wear a 10.5 size shoe and these fit great in a size 10. Very breathable material; you can wear them all day without overheating.

I went to the mountains with my friends last Saturday.
Riding places like this on the DR is so much fun.

Great day yesterday to get out and ride. A little disappointing when I got to the gate as there was only another 4km to go but, hey, that’s adventure riding!
