It's a funny coincidence that google released ImsStack with android 17, which does the same but is much more complete.

This stuff is not compatible with Samsung phones because Samsung made their own proprietary implementation of this stuff.

That's simply false. Works perfectly fine with my S24+, because it's not hardware-specific at all. IMS is completely software-based, the only reason why samsung's wouldn't work is the tremendous amount of dependencies and extra code in frameworks it used.
