Changing default navigation app
I am in a galaxy s22 and am unable to find out how to switch my default navigation app to something other than Google maps. I have tried the following:
Going to apps-->default apps and selecting a new navigation map as default. You see this as the suggested way on lots of freferences, but maps/navigation is not listed as a category for me to select a default for. Which leads me to the other thing that is often suggested...
Got to an app in the app list, then selects set as default and have the desired app set to "open supported links" while ensuring that Google maps has the same option disabled.
Doing (2) but after restarting the phone, reinstalling the various mapping apps, etc.
None of this seems to actually switch the default navigation app, because as soon as I do anything like click on "get directions" on a website, it opens Google maps.
So how do I actually change the default map/navigation app in android?

It's it a reasonable option for you to go into the AppInfo for the Google Maps app and select Disable at the top center?
