Phone compromised?
I keep getting notifications that an app has full system access and play protect is off. I posted before about having random ads this appears to be related to that. The app that has full access is called android system. If it's a legit app why am I getting warnings. I have to turn play protect back on every time I delete the app. Does anybody have any insight? I'm not sure how deep I can dig into the software due to the phone being provided by a government program.

Factory reset the device.

If I do that will the issue come back once I reconnect my Google account?

Just make sure not to auto-restore all your apps since it could redownload the compromised one. Just install everything you use manually from the play store. And even then use good judgement.

When your phone tells you you have updates to install look at all the updates first and unclick those that have nothing to do with your system.

How can anybody help you without knowing the phone make, model, android version and carrier. No pictures of the ads. All we can say is Android System app is part of Android.
